I’m Where Erin Says it Took Her Years and Years to Get To

Dear Brides, I personally have seen so many prayers, so many hopes I had in my heart fulfilled and prayers answered. If you are struggling, read this chapter, so that what you are praying for, hoping for will become so worth the wait!

This book, Finding the Abundant Life, has been like a treasure. After reading Chapter 5 "It’s SO Worth the Wait!"Chapter 5 "It’s SO Worth the Wait!" “For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; for it will certainly come, it will not delay.” Habakkuk 2:3 is true. I am here to tell you that God fulfills his promises given to us through His word so it is always worth the wait! I have read each chapter a couple of times. It has been like a rare jewel in a box that you open and go back to look at over an over.

I have savored what I have read because it has made so much sense. There have been chapters I have read and maybe not understood but those are the ones that as each day would go back and read again, as the Lord would slowly reveal things to me and these have been the ones that have most blessed me.

The Lord taught me that He always fulfills His Word. I love the following verse: “As the rain and the snow falls from the sky and does not return to it without making the soil bud and flourish, providing seed for the sower and food for the eater so is the word that comes forth from my mouth, it will not return to me void.” Isaiah 55:11

This chapter really helped to refresh and renew my mind by not becoming anxious but being content during the wait. During this wait, I am able to work on my relationship with Him. Loving Him and experiencing His love for me. It is a wonderful way to pass the time during the wait.

Personally, God has restored my marriage and I feel like I am where Erin says it took her years and years to get to – a place of peace and prosperity. Don’t get me wrong, I went through a time of suffering, of being separated and divorced but when I look back that time doesn’t feel like it was THAT long. Maybe it is due to all that I learnt through every lesson, every devotion, every testimony I learnt here at RMI. Erin created a path to help us get to this place more quickly. There was always something to read, a verse to fill my heart so that I did not become anxious. So my wait once I really got into all that I learnt here at RMI became SO WORTH THE WAIT because I got to know my HH.

Maybe what I have written here sounds too good to be true. But because my HH is not a man that He should lie, nor a son of man that He should change His mind. I believed in His promises without any doubt and I still do.

I have struggled with letting go of trying to control finances by worrying about it, I don’t tell my EH anymore about what he needs to do with our finances but I do question him and feel anxious when I think that he is not handling it correctly. But like everything else I have to trust my HH being the head of my EH to speak to him about our finances, and taking his place as the spiritual head of our family. I have to wait for His appointed time knowing it will certainly come, it will not delay.

I have to trust my HH knowing that He will lead and guide my EH when dealing with our finances.

Previously I did not speak to my HH about everything that concerned me. Now that I do speak to Him about these things I feel more at peace knowing that as my HH He will take care of it. I can spend my time working on my intimacy with Him talking to Him about the things that worry me, this, in turn, increases my intimacy with Him.

By not becoming anxious when I haven’t received answers to prayers knowing that I just need to wait & rest in Him.

By waiting on the Lord to turn my dad's heart of stone into a heart of flesh. By trying to be loving and understanding whenever I speak to him and he complains.

Dear Brides you don’t want to miss out on reading this Chapter 5 "It’s SO Worth the Wait!" especially if there is something you have been praying for, trusting for. It will be so worth your time, even if you are the type of person that doesn’t really like reading.

Always try to find a scripture to back up what you are praying for and the victory will be yours! Reading this book will encourage you because every chapter is based on a scripture which is a promise to you from the Lord and He always fulfills His word!

Will you pray with me? My dear HH, You have taught me that you move mountains during the wait. I have learnt that it is not such a bad place to be in. Looking back now yes I can say that now but when I was experiencing the pain during the wait it wasn’t so nice…  What did make the wait bearable was being able to stand on your promises knowing that the vision would be fulfilled.

I want to be closer to You, I know that sometimes it takes a trial so that the soil of my heart becomes fertile and yes it does scare me because I don’t want to go through hardships, but I also know it is during the wait experiencing this hardship that I become closer to You. I do long to grow closer to you each and every day so that the level of intimacy that I experience becomes deeper. Amen
