I was sitting with my children while they were studying, for a moment I stopped, looked at them and remembered one of the promises that my Beloved had whispered to me when I was worried about the future, and if I would be able to teach my children what they needed to learn: God’s things, school things, and the simple things they want to learn: drawing, dancing, speaking English, riding a bike, these things, you know?
“All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace.” Isaiah 54:13
I just knew at that moment and have the confidence that everything in due time would be taught to my dearest kids:)
My son was drawing and I was able to praise him and say to him: “Did you see, my son, how our Heavenly Father helps you with your drawing?” And He said, “Yes!” With a big smile on his face 🙂 Some time ago he came crying to me, saying that he could not draw and that his drawings were very ugly 🙁 I realized that he did have difficulties when I compared his drawing with his friends, I saw that his was the one with the roughest features 🙂 But He, He could change everything – PTL!
So I told my son that he must ask everything to his Heavenly Father and that He would help him improve his drawings 🙂 Then right before our eyes, we were proving another desire of our hearts attended 🙂 He is the best Father for our children!
I also asked my daughter if she needed some help, her school is demanding and we have little time to study together, etc. – and she assured me that yes, she had already studied and asked me to read a text for her only to fix the subject.
I remembered how worried and stressed I was about her school performance, and the heavy way I was charging her and me. But when I went to Him, He always has the answers. I had to remember the Je t’aime Maman lesson in Finding the Abundant Life: “How precious is our dear, sweet Husband—my goodness, we simply can never really fathom His care for us! Oh, the heights and depths of His love!!!”
First, He assured me that nothing my daughter is learning at school is so determinant to her life that above human knowledge is the divine and I could ask forgiveness for having given exaggerated importance to something that in fact will not determine who my daughter will be! I could see I was learning to let go of one more thing in my life 🙂
I could talk to my daughter, and reminded her that she can count on extra help! Extraordinary and supernatural! When I began telling that she must ask… She said: “I never start any evaluation without asking Him for help!” And a very big smile came after that on both of our faces 🙂
And as a last testimony that “He is able to do everything much more abundantly beyond what we ask or think”: I was worried about a TV show that my daughter was showing interest in watching, I told her about it, but I knew she might fall into the temptation of seeing and commenting with friends, etc.
Some days later, my EH told me about this same program, horrified by what was being shown. So I had the opportunity to comment with him about our daughter’s interest … and he told me he would talk to her 🙂
At the same time I could remember what Erin taught us in the “How to Be Blessed” Series HTBB “However, for those whose husbands are at home, you do not have the authority to take your home from sin, but – to fast and pray that the Lord will convince your husband or at least that he becomes tired of the consequences and to act and deal with it. “
My daughter told me that daddy had talked to her and seriously forbid her from seeing the show and that she was scared at how worried he was with the possibility of her watching it!
I have no doubt that we are called to live something very out of the ordinary, a relationship of trust and love that we have never experienced before saying YES and thus becoming His Bride and allowing Him to take care of us and our worries, just because He loves us!
