💖 Throughout my life, I was taught to pursue my independence, to not depend on anyone, and to have a clear and strong opinion about what I want and believe. The consequence of this was that I developed a very selfish and, consequently, contentious behavior. When I remember that I acted like this my entire life, I feel a little sad. But it is amazing how, when we learn the Truth of His Word, it is as if a blindfold falls from our eyes. And I thank my Beloved for allowing this blindfold to fall from my eyes, and I also thank Him for molding me and making me a new woman. Because my greatest desire is to reflect His behavior in my daily life. I want to have true love for other people and no longer put myself first. I want to overflow with His peace, and never again behave selfishly and contentiously.
What I have learned is that our Beloved must be our example in everything! This means humbling ourselves, and denying ourselves every day. Oh, may everyone who is part of our lives see the change He is making in us, taking away from us all pride, vanity, selfishness and lack of love. May we truly open our hearts so that we can learn from Him, and be molded according to His Word and will!!!
