Dear brides, I was always rebellious and able to manipulate people, authorities and persuade them to do the things like I want. My friends were laughing, not understanding, why they have many times agreed. They later only realized that they really didn't want it and I have a special talent for persuading. 🙂 I used to do this between my friends, in my school, courses, jobs and of course I brought this attitude to my marriage. After so many years living this way, was and is very difficult to change it. But I have one big blessing for obedience to my husband and I want to give all Glory to God for it.
Last year in January 2019 we had to decide, if we quit our jobs in Slovakia (SR) and we move back to Spain, or we stay in SR. I wanted to go back to Spain, because both of us have dream jobs there, many friends and the life that they see is like a fairy tale. Moreover, my job in SR was hard with colleague, who I was suppose to substitute, but by the time it looked like she changed her mind, wanted to stay and they would probably kick me out. But my husband wanted to stay in SR. Maybe it looks very easy, but for me it was incredibly hard to be obedient in this case but I did it. I was very sad and disappointed for many days. I didn’t understand why the Lord leads us with obedience to such situations, which are totally and deeply against our will. Why we have desires which we have to abandon due to obedience.
But soon, my sorrow turns to the big joy. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts“(Isaiah 55:9). I have found that already during making this decision I was pregnant. 🙂 If we followed my will, we quit the job in Slovakia at that moment. But after the revelation of my pregnancy, we couldn’t go to Spain, because I couldn't do the job sport animator/dancer like pregnant. So we would have no job in Slovakia, no job in Spain.
Thank You My Love! “Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom“(Psalm 145, 3 NIV). The amount of His goodness continues. I had a contract for half a year and when I have to announce my pregnancy in the job (after 3 months) my contract was finishing. My colleague, even the deal was that she finally finishes after so many prolongations, still seemed to change her mind and wanted to stay. So, it was very obvious in my eyes that my contract will be not prolonged and she stays.
The consequences would be not only me unemployed, but no kid support during maternity leave since I wouldn't fulfill the conditions of social insurance. But our Lord is much bigger...“Now glory be to God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes” (Ephesians 3:20 TLB) After my announcement of pregnancy, the colleague suddenly wanted to leave, so my contract was prolonged, I was working until 4th October in great physical condition, 7th October my baby was born and now I am enjoying maternity leave with nice kid support. 🙂 I would never think it can be like this. “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26). Amen!!! Those are consequences of obedience and sure also tithing. The principles, which Erin teaches really work!!! Thank You My Dear that You gave us instruction and principles how to live! Thank you Erin, thank You RMI for teaching the truth!!!
Let’s pray together! Lord You say: And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws (Ezekiel 36:27 NIV). And I praise You for all brides and wives with the marital problems, put Your Spirit in us to live your principles in obedience, with a gentle and quiet spirit, because only like this, we will be happy, our husbands and families and we give glory to You! I praise You My Love that You let me know those principles and step by step You give me power to live them!
