Felt Guilty That I Was Spending Money

โ™• Today's Promise: โ€œAnd my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesusโ€ Philippians 4:19

Dear Brides, now I know all that you're talking about!!! This is an amazing book and just in this first chapter I could learn so many things, I never knew that I lived in a Poverty Mentality, until I read this Chapter 1 "The Poverty Mentality Defined" !!

I was very excited to begin this new course Poverty Mentality, I've read the chapter before, but not filled my journal, it makes a total difference.

It renewed my mind and the way that I look to my finances, for as long as I know I lived a life of complete poverty mentality, and this is since I was a child, I always thought that I could not have things and I carried it in my adult life, sometimes not buying what I needed because I felt guilty that I was spending money to buy things to myself, I didn't have the mentality that he wanted to bless me.

I believe that what will help me is to look at Who He is! Everything belongs to Him. He is the one who supplies my needs and even those needs that I am not aware of.

One of the things that I begin doing in my life is to make a list. It helps me to not speak words as "I can't afford it" and to ask Him who owns everything to help me.

I trusted that He would lead me, giving me wisdom, showing where I should go and keeping my heart away from greed, and show me how to be generous with others. The Financial Testimony #1, was such an encouragement!

I want to live my life trusting in Him who can provide for all my needs, but also that it's not wrong to buy things for myself, knowing that He is the one blessing me and also uses my life to bless others.

I believe that is the mentality of a lot of women around me, they also feel guilty when they buy things for themselves instead of their children. It has been a way that I can share with them all the wonderful things that I read and also begin practice in my life.

Beloved, thank you for this eye-opening chapter and for showing me that many areas of my life need to be transformed by you. Help me to live what I learned and to share with others who are also living in the same situation. Give me the wisdom in applying what I've read and to keep my heart away from greed and unbelief.

Dear Brides, I encourage you to read this book Poverty Mentality with an open mind and heart, asking Him to show you the areas of your life that needs to be changed, and what are the words that you say that shows the lack of trust on Him, the one who can provide for all your needs.

What an amazing book!! Just reading the first chapter I was confronted with a poverty mentality that I have since I was a child and I wasn't aware of it!! I can't wait to read the rest of the book ๐Ÿ™‚

โ€œNow faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seenโ€ (Hebrews 11:1)

This verse is one of my favorites, that always reminds me of the faithfulness of the Lord.

โ€œFor the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heartโ€ (Matthew 12:34).

โ€œAnd my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesusโ€ (Philippians 4:19)
