Happy tears

This morning, like almost every Sunday morning, I talked to my brother over the phone. Most Sunday's, he visits me after he went to church just to drink coffee and talk. We talk almost every second day, but always have lots to talk about, we became very close over the last couple of years.

Every time I speak to my brother, I am just so in awe of what my Husband did in his live and is still doing and how he is growing in His relationship with the Lord. My brother, who WAS an atheist until the Lord revealed Himself to him, encountered him when he reached his lowest point. Who pulled him out of the slimy pit.

And the most amazing thing is how he is now serving the Lord in his church's band, playing bass guitar. Music is my brother's passion, if he has a bit of free time, he plays and record music, and now he is using it to serve \o/. And just to explain how big of a miracle this is, my brother used to play in a metal band....

A few Sundays back when he visited me, he asked if he could play me a song he wrote and recorded, and I said yes. I almost dropped my coffee when I heard the song and the lyrics, I didn't expect what I heard. The song was written and sung in Afrikaans, but he was singing about the Lord. About the "old familiar voice that guides him every day. The old familiar voice he hears every morning when he wakes up..."

It nearly drove me to tears, even now just thinking about it, I want to cry, but happy tears, thankful tears, humble tears because of what my Husband not only did for him, but also for me on this journey of a lifetime.

Love,

Adina

  2. Adina, I totally agree with Atarah. What a beautiful praise. I would love to hear the song. It is so amazing to have this wonderful Salvation story for you brother. Again it gives all of us hope for our family and siblings and know that we don’t have to do anything, we just need to ask Him, because His will is that everyone be saved! Thank you for encouraging me today.
