When I read Yvonne PR this morning about the difficulties she was having with not pulling a face when her ex-husbands new wife was mentioned and how she ran to the Lord, I realized that with the difficulties I was experiencing in the house that I live in, the mom suffers from dementia and so she becomes very confrontational and it has made me so resentful of her.
I knew that something had to give and the Lord was telling me that I needed a change of attitude. I was becoming so anxious in the situation but was really only bringing it on myself. The truth of the matter is it is not the circumstances or the way other people act that makes us anxious it is our own attitude to what is going on. So this morning the Lord spoke to my heart telling me to do something nice for this person. To put "feelings" aside and act like a child of God would act an turn the other cheek and not seeking revenge but to give a blessing.
So that is what I decided to do. I decided to take the lady to apply for her old age pension in our country, its a long and tedious task as you sit for hours and days until all the forms are completed. I must admit it I felt great when it was all over. The Lord continues to grant me favor as in the case with my license renewal where the affidavit of my proof of address was outdated the clerk did not notice it. Praise God. So who am I not to grant someone favor especially someone that does not really deserve it (well that is my decision).
As we have heard many times we should not be saying Lord change that person or that person but Lord change me... I also want to take the opportunity to Thank God for the Miracle of Life. My youngest daughter had been trying to have a baby for almost two years and my middle daughter just got married in January and fell pregnant straight away. It causes a lot of mixed emotions for my baby girl but she kept strong and even accepted it when my middle daughter asked her to be there for the birth! Well praise God she is now also pregnant, no word can describe the gratitude I feel for His blessings so great!

When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the energies of prayer for that person. If someone slaps you in the face, stand there and take it. If someone grabs your shirt, gift wrap your best coat and make a present of it. If someone takes unfair advantage of you, use the occasion to practice the servant life. No more tit-for-tat stuff. Live generously."
How scary it is to go into your own head and try to figure everything out, we should just take it to the Lord in prayer and look what the Lord says in His Word He will do:
Deuteronomy 28:7 The Message (MSG) "God will defeat your enemies who attack you. They’ll come at you on one road and run away on seven roads."
