Prophetic Song

As far back as I can remember, I have and still love to sing. Music has always been a very important part of my life, from listening to playing instruments, but I most enjoy singing!! Today I want to share a little hidden treasure I found unexpectedly. I have files for each one of my family members. Inside are important documents or certificates, things of that nature.

My EH asked me to find his Social Security Card because he could not find it in his wallet where he last had it. So I went into the file cabinet and started looking through his file carefully taking out each item one by one since the card is so small I didn’t want to miss it. I eventually found it, but then decided to organize and clean out the file. When I finished his, I was lead to continue and do the same for my 3 children including mine at the end. Going through the files brought me down memory lane, especially of my children who are now grown, seeing art projects and some old photos when they were in elementary school. It amazes me how fast they grow.

As I was cleaning out my file, I came across a single piece of paper that was once white, but now turned yellowish. It was folded in half and as I opened it, my heart jumped inside. It brought back a memory when I was about 10 years old and I do not remember how it was there in that file.

It was when my parents had recently divorced and we had sold our home and moved into a small apartment. We only lived there for about a year before we moved to Florida. (My dad stayed in New Jersey where I was born). The kitchen had a window that faced the street and I would stand on a small step stool, wash the dishes and look out the window seeing the cars pass by or people walking. I enjoyed making suds as my hands splashed the water, but what I really treasures was that I would love to sing while washing. My brothers used to tease saying if I would ever shut up..(in a loving way..) but my heart just bursted with music.

One day a melody came to my heart and I started adding words to it. I didn’t write music often, but this particular song I have never forgotten. Even today, finding this piece of paper, I still remember like it was yesterday the melody and words.

As I share this song I wrote, which I know at some point I typed it since there were no computers back then, I had written down on a little notepad once I finished the dishes and dried my hands.

It reads:

You are All I Need

For this love that I feel I give my thanks to You being there when I need You cause I will be there for You too for just a touch of Your careness to lead me to you.

For that’s all I need

I love You and I will praise You all my life for You are the One who saved all our lives.

And You are all I need

Give me strength when I need it for Your help is precious to me leading me through Your path for it is the light I will see just the thought of You loving me being all that I could be.

For that is all I need

Many times I may have felt alone in my life, but seeing this He reminds me that my HH has always been there with me, ready to hold and comfort me. May I never forget His relentless love for me and how blessed I am to have such a love as this.

A prophecy: The word of the LORD concerning Israel. The LORD, who stretches out the heavens, who lays the foundation of the earth, and who forms the human spirit within a person, declares: Zechariah 12:1
