I Can Be Like the Horse or Mule

β™• Today's Promise: β€œThe fear of man brings a snare, but he who trusts in the LORD will be exalted.” Proverbs 29:25

My Heavenly Husband is so amazing in the way He teaches me every day and humbles me and helps me get rid of pride and arrogance. A few years ago I went through a crisis with my son where he was going from an occupational therapist to a psychiatrist where he now goes twice a year and he is on medication to help him concentrate. I have given praise about this before, but what I did not tell you is that my FH suggested my son was on the spectrum for autism and that him (my FH) was also on the spectrum and that his parents never got him diagnosed. So, what did I do when he told me, I rolled my eyes (PTL, it was dark so he did not see it), but of course my dear Heavenly Husband saw.

As I said every six months my son needs to go for a check-up at the psychiatrist and this time when he called me in after seeing my son, he said that he did not want to say anything previously because he wanted it confirmed, but now he was certain that my son was on the spectrum. I could feel myself go ice cold and thanks to my Heavenly Husband I only nodded my head and agreed instead of just saying a lot of unnecessary things.

Matthew 5:25: β€œAgree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.”

Then he proceeded to tell me how I can help my son cope better. And as he mentioned things that mostly comes down to routine and a lot of the principles I learned in W@H, yes you heard right. I was able to explain to him that I was already doing these things and he said that he can see my son is well adjusted and I am doing all the right things. I was able to tell him that it was only the Lord and although he did not acknowledge this of course, I was okay, because I could still give Him praise!!!

Now, coming home I was still upset because I did not want my son to be labelled. I could not wait just for a quiet moment so I can talk to my Heavenly Husband about this. And when I did, He was just so amazing and He told me that the only label that matters is that my son is the son of a King!!!

Immediately I relaxed and felt so peaceful knowing He will work it out for good and He already has shown me such a wonderful benefit. My son sometimes has a hard time with interacting with other children and he will play with his sister but there are times where he just wants to be alone and I let him be, but when he visits his dad he gets forced to play with his sister and stepbrother which always ends in anger and frustration for every one. I have asked my son to speak to the Lord about this as I can do nothing for him but I know the Lord can.

This weekend my son came home and he had so much fun at his dad. He told me that his dad was different towards him and he had such a good time! So the Lord already used this all for so much good!

Trusting Him and not complaining to others or even disagreeing or rolling my eyes (even on the inside), the Lord used this for good for my son.

β€œI hear the Lord saying, β€œI will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!”” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭32:8-9‬ ‭TPT

I got this verse a while ago and its so me sometimes. Going to another version, it was even worse and said:

Psalm 32:8-9 β€œI will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you.”

I must admit that sometimes I can be like the horse or mule. Since the Lord showed me this verse whenever something happens and I want to take charge, I am reminded of this verse and asks Him to instruct me.
