Instead, Just Pray

β™• Today's Promise: "Then the Lord answered me and said, 'Write the vision And engrave it plainly on [clay] tablets So that the one who reads it will run. For the vision is yet for the appointed [future] time It hurries toward the goal [of fulfillment]; it will not fail. Even though it delays, wait [patiently] for it, Because it will certainly come; it will not delay.'" Habakkuk 2:2-3

☊ PRAISE from Liora

I am excited to share my praise today about my niece. I have spoken about my niece before in other praise reports, she is the one that I minister to once in a while and plant little seeds when I am able to. She comes to me for advice sometimes about the relationship with the father of her children. She is not married to this man, although they live together but I know that it is a great desire of hers to be married to the father of her children. I have prayed to my Heavenly Husband to give him the desire to marry my niece.

All of the relationships in my immediate family (my brother, nieces and nephew) are living in sin because they are not married but living with their partners. The other couples live together but have no children. This is something I have spoken to my Heavenly Husband about, and I really would like for all of them to be married but especially my niece because they have children involved.

I mentioned something to one of the other couples one time a while ago, before I knew to win without and word and they responded quite harshly. They said that why would they want to get married to just end up divorced like me… it was a stab to the heart but I said, "just because I got married the right way, doesn't mean that we were living the right way". So I have not mentioned it again and instead, just pray to my Heavenly Husband about it now.

Anyways I have been giving little nuggets of advice to my niece when she asks and she has been really receptive. Like one time she told me that she was tired of her partner going to the gym after work because her and the kids wanted to spend more time with him. She asked me for my opinion and I told her that she did not need to say anything and instead pray about it. To make sure that she was kind, to have food ready for him when he got home, to have the house clean and comfortable so he could relax and everything else would fall into place. I told her the more you nag him, the more he will want to stay away. I mean, who wants to live with someone who is always complaining? I was one of those contentious wives! Oh how the Lord has taught me so much, thank you LORD! She responded with, β€œthank you, that is really good advice”.

"Older women similarly are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor addicted to much wine, teaching what is right and good, so that they may encourage the young women to tenderly love their husbands and their children, to be sensible, pure, makers of a home [where God is honored], good-natured, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored." Titus 2:3-5

The other day my sister needed a favor from me because she was busy and she confided in me that my niece's partner had messaged my sister for the size of my niece’s ring finger! My sister asked me to go to the jeweller to get the size of the ring because he wanted it as soon as possible. The news made me cry when she told me because I know that it is something my niece has been wanting for a while now and she will be so surprised and I have also asked my Heavenly Husband for it in prayer. I’m not sure when he will ask or how he will ask but I can't wait to write another praise report about that special day because it is coming.

"Then the Lord answered me and said, 'Write the vision And engrave it plainly on [clay] tablets So that the one who reads it will run. For the vision is yet for the appointed [future] time It hurries toward the goal [of fulfillment]; it will not fail. Even though it delays, wait [patiently] for it, Because it will certainly come; it will not delay.'" Habakkuk 2:2-3

"Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives, and he who keeps on seeking finds, and to him who keeps on knocking, it will be opened." Matthew 7: 7-8

God wants us to pour out our hearts to Him in prayer. God tells us to ask because prayer is inviting God to get involved in our lives personally and in whatever situations and circumstances we are facing in our life.

"Delight yourself in the Lord, And He will give you the desires and petitions of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; Trust in Him also and He will do it." Psalm 37: 4-5
