Justified my Sin Because of His

Dear Brides – there is so much good stuff in this C3 Day 2 Chapter 2 “First Love”! Our society preaches equality for us in all things. This gets us into so much trouble, as this was not what the Lord intended. He puts things in “order” so that we are blessed. We are to be obedient to our husbands because it is through our obedience to the Lord. His desires are to bless us, but we must first demonstrate our obedience to Him.

The secret of the Lord is for those who fear Him.” Ps. 25:10-15. It starts by having reverence for Him.

One principle the Lord just brought to my mind is that I always placed my daughter before my EH. This really bothered him. I’ve been a single mom most of her life and it was just a pattern. A bad one! I know the Lord will give me another opportunity to make things right at His appointed time. I honestly know that His timing is always perfect, and I will wait until that time. Right now (and always) I just want to focus on my HH. I have promised Him many times, that He will never, ever be anything but #1 in my life. I intend to keep my promise.

β€œFor there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.” Rom. 13:1. This is God’s order because He knows best!

Through His Word, the Lord has spoken truth to me. He had to take me to such a place of brokenness, that I didn’t want to live. The pain was unreal. Praise Him, It’s been so worth it to be close to Him and receive His unwavering truth and love. He did take “lover and friend” from me because I was so stubborn and self-righteous, it was the only way He could capture my attention. Wow, my faith grows and grows, because if He can transform me, then He can transform anyone!! I believe He is totally sovereign, just as He changed Saul and Jonah. His word is just as alive today as it was 2000 years ago. I love Isaiah 55:11, which states His word does not return void but goes on to do exactly what it was intended (paraphrased..).

Oh, I’ve been telling the Lord for months and weeks my greatest desire is to be obedient to HIM. I ask him to know my heart and know my true desire for this. Thank you for this lesson that is such a great reminder again for the importance of wisdom and obedience. I was so rebellious with my EH, I justified my sin because of his. Such nonsense. I am so very thankful that our God is so merciful and forgiving. What is strengthening me is that I’m sharing what I’m learning with my friends. God is so faithful that as I ask Him to bring others to me, He does! What a privilege it is! My sharing is giving me the strength to continue in my journey. Praise God!

β€œWhat use is it, my brethren, if a man says he has faith, but he has no works? Can that faith save him? …For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.” James 2:14-26. So important to prove to the Lord our faithfulness.

Dear Single, I so encourage you to not rebel against God’s Word as I have, especially in regards to wives being in submission (or under) their husbands. I always cringed when I heard this verse, and now I can’t wait if it’s God’s will for me to demonstrate to my EH how much I believe in this principle. Without it, you are in rebellion and trust me, it’s all downhill from there. If you do things right the 1st time, you will be blessed!! Following His Word, will always bless you in every way!!

Dear ladies – I encourage you to take Course 3 (after the 1st 2) because there is some review from the other courses and it just solidifies what we need to learn to renew our minds. We must demonstrate without our EH’s at home that we are changed and that means being obedient now, not just later. So far, I have gained so much knowledge from Course 3!
