Dear Brides, if you have not yet trusted our ONE True Love, you might think these ideas in Chapter 15. Rebuild the Temple are crazy. You might doubt and try to pull your own weight. I did the same. But I say to you, TRUST HIM! You will be amazed!
Parts of this made me laugh…My LOVE has shown me much over the years. HE PROVIDES–it was always HIM who provided, even when we foolishly thought it was our own hard work or that of a spouse! Our Heavenly Love has a bit of a sense of humor, or drama, and will make things ridiculously “impossible” by our own means, to make a point.
“Now, therefore, thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘Consider your ways! You have sown much, but harvest little; you eat, but there is not enough to be satisfied; you drink, but there is not enough to become drunk; you put on clothing, but no one is warm enough; and he who earns, earns wages to put into a purse with holes. Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘Consider your ways! Go up to the mountains, bring wood and rebuild the temple, that I may be pleased with it and be glorified,’ says the LORD. ‘You look for much, but behold, it comes to little; when you bring it home, I blow it away Why?’ declares the LORD of hosts, ‘Because of My house which lies desolate, while each of you runs to his own house’. ‘You look for much, but behold, it comes to little; when you bring it home, I blow it away Why?’ declares the LORD of hosts, ‘Because of My house which lies desolate, while each of you runs to his own house.’” (Haggai 1:5-9).
So true…we fuss over our own needs, while disobeying our Love…thus not providing for others, as we are told to do. The result is He reminds us, by making us squirm a bit.
This is a great reminder to me that I must trust the ONE who owns it ALL, not myself, not other humans…just HIM.
He has time after time, provided for me in ways that didn’t even make sense! HUGE, ridiculous bargains on things I had told Him I wanted, OR He even had others GIVE these things to me. Money in my account, when I was SURE I had none–money I found WAS there, but I had made an error (and I take great pride in not making errors–LOL, He showed me!
I will trust in Him! I will praise Him! I will turn to Him, knowing that there is NOWHERE else that I can rationally put my trust!!
Let’s say a quick prayer: My Love, change my heart and my mind, so I see what YOU want me to see, think what YOU want me to think, feel what YOU want me to feel! Forgive me, Love, for all the times I was a fool. I believed the world, trusted in my FH‘s education and work ethic, trusted in my own hard work and fretting. I was a fool!
Newer Brides, You WILL be AMAZED at His LOVE for you! You will finally have joy and peace! TRUST HIM! TRUST HIM!
Again, this book Moving Mountains is different than others and teaches things at first glance that might seem risky or nutty. But they are not. TEST HIM IN THIS!
