Dear ladies, today I’m sharing this video with a very grateful heart for what the Lord spoke to me through this deep and powerful chapter from the book Breaking Free from the Poverty Mentality.
As I read and reflected on the question, “Who said?”, I felt God inviting me to examine my beliefs, my words, and even the things I have accepted as truth without first listening to what He says. My prayer is that this sharing will also encourage you to trust more in the Lord’s promises and to live in the abundance He has already prepared for us.

What I learned from the Poverty Mentality, Chapter 12, “Who says?”
Who said that you don’t have enough money to pay your bills this month? Who said that you cannot live the abundant life, or that the difficult times you went through are going to affect your children's future?
Often, the loudest voice telling us what we cannot do... is our own. Or perhaps it is the voices of well-meaning friends, or even other believers, who look at the world through the lens of despair and lack. They see a single mother raising four children with no child support, and they see lack. But they only believe what they can see.
When the author of the book “Supernatural Childbirth” was told that she could never have children, her future husband did not accept it. He simply asked, "Who says?" They chose to believe what God said—and they had four children and painless, supernatural births.
God does not promise to supply some of your needs if the economy is good, or if you have two incomes, or if you work yourself to the bone. He says He will supply all your needs. Period. No conditions.
Your life is meant to be a living testimony of a bride living the Abundant Life. God desires to give you the desires of your heart, but you must break free from the poverty mentality that expects lack.
So the next time fear rises up, or a negative thought tries to take root in your heart, pierce it with the truth. Stop the conversation, look that limitation in the eye, and ask:
Who says?
Because if God didn't say it, it doesn't belong in your reality.
