Louisa, how did your restoration actually begin?
It started about seven years ago when my husband had already lost everything. He was on drugs, and his mother came to take him back to her home to spend a few days there, which turned into him being gone for more than seven months. When he left, I'd just found out that I was pregnant, so when he returned, I was just days away from giving birth.
While he was gone, he got involved with another woman, but I didn't know about it until he came home.
How did God change your situation, Louisa, as you sought Him wholeheartedly?
God began to change me when my husband first left, but I wasn't entirely broken--not until he returned home and I realized he had an OW and had been keeping in touch with her, during my birth and several times a day since then. I was desperate for hope.
Not believing anything could become worse, I soon discovered that she was pregnant with my husband's baby. My husband said that he loved her, and he left to go live with her. This was when someone reached out to me and handed me the book How God Can and Will Restore Your Marriage. I read the book in just 2 days and then reread it a second, then a third, time. The same lady who'd given me the book told me that your ministry offered courses, so that's when I began working through your courses. I poured my heart into each of the courses, and I was applying everything I learned into my life. To let go was the most difficult, but I did it.
What principles, from God's Word (or through our resources), Louisa, did the Lord teach you during this trial?
To find our Heavenly Husband and be totally dependent on Him.
To tithe to my storehouse.
What were the most difficult times that God helped you through, Louisa?
When I felt the anguish of seeing things that we needed, which I couldn’t provide, but then God supplied every one of my needs without fail.
Louisa, what was the “turning point” of your restoration?
It was when I let my earthly husband go, not just in words but in my heart. My HH was first in my life, and it's then that my husband began to call me and tell me he missed me.
Tell us HOW it happened, Louisa? Did your husband just walk in the front door? Louisa, did you suspect or could you tell you were close to being restored?
One day, without any clue that I was even close to restoration, my husband showed up at my house. He'd been gone for more than a year. I was concerned because I didn't know what to expect. When he saw me, he ran up and crushed me in a tight hug and kept kissing me. I knew it was God who'd done what He promised.

Never give up. No matter how much you see it's hopeless. Just believe; you have to believe in the promises of God in your life.
