Step Away From Tradition

β™• Today's Promise: Isaiah 45:3 β€œAnd I will give you the treasures of darkness, and hidden wealth of secret places, In order that you may know that it is I, The LORD, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.”

I wanted to share how amazing my HH is!! When coming to RMI many years ago, my main focus was to restore my marriage relationship, but as I walked this journey, there was so much more He has blessed me with. Not only was my marriage restored, but also so many relationships around me. My HH is so faithful, that not only does He bless me, but also my loved ones around me.

My mother has had some health issues, but my HH has turned all those situations to good!! My mom has been searching for more intimacy with Him and finding the Lord as her HH. With that, I have shared how He has restored the relationship between my mom with my SIL. They now have a beautiful relationship and speak almost every day. My dad will be coming to visit next week for about a month and I know He will continue to bring healing between us all. Also, I have seen my mom show so much love and patience with her sister, (my aunt) and this is only by His grace. My aunt is not an easy person to get along with and in the past, there were times that they refused to talk to each other. Now they have movie dates every Thursday and are planning a trip to Orlando! I know His love is radiating inside my mom and will show my aunt something I hope she will want also.

Through all of these trials, I was able to give my mom the Finding the Abundant LifeΒ book. The next day she sent me a picture of the saying β€œYou’re all I want, You’re are all I need, You are all I live for” and that she is repeating it every day! I have been able to share more about the ministry and she is to open to more of Him.

Not too long ago she was asking for some advice and I told her to ask Him and He would answer. She looked at me with a funny expression and she replied, β€œ I have never heard Him talk to me.” So I shared that we just need to talk to Him like if He was a friend next to us and then we need to just sit still and listen. She said she had never tried that, but always just prayed. (she is catholic so I understood what she considered prayer). She again was open and a few days later she called me so excited!! First, she said that she was able to go to church and this time she just stayed quiet (hoping to hear something. :)) That night she was struggling with her health and she said she just started crying out to the Lord to please speak to her and guide her. Well, she said it was clear that she needed to omit something from her diet. She said that that was the first time she heard from HIM!!

Well, I rejoiced with her and encouraged her that He is always there and she can always count on Him. This is a big step for my mom, to step away from tradition and I am just so blessed to be a part of her Finding the Abundant Life.

β€œThen we will not turn away from You; revive us, and we will call on Your name. Restore us, O LORD God of Hosts; cause Your face to shine upon us, that we may be saved". Psalm 80:18-19 NIV
