Every Day is Thanksgiving

In America, we set aside one day each year to celebrate Thanksgiving. Families gather, food is shared—often with a traditional turkey at the center—and for a few moments, we reflect on what we’re thankful for. Yet, in many homes, that moment of sharing is rare. People are shy, or extended family makes it awkward. But oh, how much we need thankfulness right now—more than ever before.

Today’s world feels heavy. Even among believers, the number struggling with depression or despair is staggering. Families everywhere are walking through heartbreak—loved ones battling hopelessness, some even threatening or attempting to end their own lives. This is why I believe it’s time to fill our hearts with thankfulness every day, not just once a year.

Thankfulness AS Therapy

Recently, after crying out to the Lord for another one of my extended family, I reached out to two dear friends—my RMI family—and together we formed a threefold cord of encouragement. Our focus was to support one another as one of us faces this painful battle daily within her family.

From that connection, the Lord led us to strengthen and expand our Thankfulness AS Therapy page, joining it with Music Therapy. We realized this wasn’t just something we should teach—it was something we needed to live. As we began practicing it ourselves, our hearts grew lighter. Even though none of us are personally among those statistics, we all recognized the enemy’s attacks to “steal, kill, and destroy.”

But God has already shown us how to overcome. Revelation tells us that we conquer the enemy by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. Your testimony—yes, yours—is powerful! It’s personal, and it could be the very thing that saves a life. It’s time to share what He’s done for you.

Your Testimony Matters

Recording and sharing your testimony is simple yet profound. Start by speaking it out loud (I personally record a note on my phone, copy the transcript and paste it into ChatGPT). Let your words flow as you thank Him for what He’s brought you through—the deep valleys and the dark nights. Then, use the tools available to you to capture and share it. If you’ve also have a family member or loved one who was battling taking their own life, have that be the center of your testimony.

I use this practice offensively—to press forward and forget what lies behind. We must keep pressing toward what’s ahead: a world that desperately needs the light of hope. While many live under depression or in a fog of medication, we can shine brightly, showing them what it looks like to truly live in His love.

“They looked to Him and were radiant,” God says, “and their faces were never ashamed.” When we radiate His joy, others take notice. They see the difference, and that light leads them to Him.

Start Today

If you already have a testimony, please share it—it’s the most beautiful gift 💝 you can give. If you don’t yet, ask the Lord to give you one, and then come back to share when He does. Your story can become part of Thankfulness AS Therapy, blessing countless others.

Just this morning, one of my two dear friends texted to thank God for our friendship. Her message reminded me to pause and do my own thankfulness therapy again, even though I’d already begun my day listing what I was thankful for. I set my phone down, stepped outside, looked at the sky and the birds, the water, and simply thanked Him. Once you begin thanking God, it’s hard to stop. Gratitude overflows, and joy follows.

God is so good. Truly good. Yet, when life goes wrong, people are often quick to blame Him. But I want the world to know: God is good—always. It’s up to us to show the world how thankful we are, not just in words but in the way we live and love.

Incorporate Thankfulness into Everything

If you or someone you love is struggling or on medication, please don’t lose hope. Even if we don’t yet know how deeply thankfulness AS therapy will impact every situation, we do know this: it works spiritually, because we wrestle not against flesh and blood.

Start small. Listen to songs of gratitude—like “Thankful”—and seek more music centered on thankfulness. Let these songs become part of your healing, your therapy… your testimony.

And to all our RMIOU students—why not make thankfulness the theme of your MOM website? Share your testimonies. Post songs that lift your heart with joy. Let your story shine for His glory.

Even though I’ve only been used prophetically a few times, I feel led to say this:

If THANKFULNESS becomes our theme—being GRATEFUL—then countless women could begin to come to Restore Ministries to bring their friends and family to where they’ll begin feeling uplifted, encouraged, and renewed. They’ll return again and again, overflowing with joy, and go out to spread the GOOD NEWS and that same joy with countless more “ too many to count.” They’ll each become true Encouraging Women.

A Closing Blessing

Let me close with one of my favorite PASSAGES:

“I thank my God every time I think of you.”

May your heart overflow with gratitude this Thanksgiving—and every day after.

Because with the Lord, every day is Thanksgiving. 🧡

  1. I wanted to come in here and say: Happy Thanksgiving to all my American family and friends. 💖💖💖💖💖
And yes, every day needs to be Thanksgiving, but I do want to wish you a special day today because we are all family.

I am not feeling well this morning, a little head cold, nothing serious, but I was able to thank Him this morning, for having me be perfected in weakness, but also being so thankful that I have such lovely caring children, that made me something to eat this morning, and gave me some vitamins to boost my ammune system, and just being so overall sweet in cooking and doing everything that needs to be done.

Even in the times that we are not feeling well, or something happens, we can find those things to be thankful for and know that there is no need for us to complain about anything because He takes care of us, He supplies all our needs and Erin one day shared with me, that He knows we need even the things that we see as “wants” Like I want my children to pamper me a bit today, but I don’t really need it. They should have gone to their dad today, but he let me know he will only pick them up tomorrow. I don’t need them with me today, but I want them here. He comes along and says, “I know what you need, and I will give it to you, because I love you so much.” Wow, that was amazing for me to hear this morning. Not being able to sleep and getting up with a head cold, I did not feel myself today, but then when He showed me all I can be thankful for, it just lifted me up. How amazing right?????

I am so thankful that I am able to share this with all of you today. 💞💞

I left another thankfulness praise here as well:

  2. My dear Sisters,

Gratitude toward my Heavenly Husband has become like a second breath for me. I cannot stop thanking Him—giving thanks for everything: the small blessings and the great ones. I keep a special notebook just for this practice, and at first, my entries were timid and simple: “Thank You, my Heavenly Husband, for the life You give me and for this day.” Just one or two sentences.

But over time, I have learned to notice and thank Him for every detail: the sunrise, the rain, the meal He allowed me to prepare, a hug from my daughter, an encouraging word from my e-partner, the encouragement He allows me to give, even the challenges I face. I’ve realized that He speaks to me through everything around me, and that everything I have comes from Him.

I don’t write to perform or impress—this is not about that—but I notice that the pages of my notebook fill more and more every day. There is always something for which I want to thank my Beloved. Gratitude teaches me to stay connected to Him, to stop complaining, and above all, to embrace humility.

Let me share a small story with you: a week ago, temperatures suddenly plummeted where I live. As I left for work, everything was covered in frost: the ground, my car, the trees… everything! But instead of complaining about the cold as I used to, I chose to see the beauty of His creation. Everything sparkled like crystal—so beautiful that He even gave me the name “Crystal”! I thanked Him for this breathtaking morning, despite the chill, and said: “He is, everything is magnificent, but it’s cold! You say in Your Word that You are a consuming fire, so I know it will be warm!”

Would you believe me if I told you that from that moment, I did not feel cold all day long? In my car, the heater was at its usual setting; at my office, I even used a small fan I normally only turn on in summer! My colleagues kept saying, “It’s freezing!”—and I wasn’t cold for a single minute.

A few days later, while walking on foot, I experienced it again. I marveled at frost-covered spiderwebs that looked like delicate silver threads, snapping photos as I went. My hands began to get cold—I had no gloves—but I whispered to my Beloved: “Everything is beautiful as always, but my hands are cold! I know You are that consuming fire, and fire warms!” Within minutes, my hands were warm.

My dear Sisters, I wholeheartedly encourage you to try this daily, even if it is just one small act of thanks. You will see that over time, your heart will open, and you will no longer be able to stop praising our Heavenly Husband for all that He does in your lives.

“You are my God; I give You thanks. My God, I acknowledge Your greatness! Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, and His love endures forever!”

  3. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! This morning, while reading the post, I was truly very happy because the thankfulness therapy has been a real revelation for me. Through it, I learned, when coming to RMI, what it really means to be grateful.

Even today, I thank Him. We are experiencing extreme temperatures and it hasn’t rained for months, but instead of complaining, I simply thank Him for this beautiful weather. I am grateful for everything He has brought this week, as it has been very busy, but also filled with wonderful surprises that my MC didn’t fail to give me.

  5. Hello, dear ladies! Happy Thanksgiving!

I want to express my gratitude to my Beloved for absolutely everything! For the blessings, for the struggles, for the trials, for the provision, for our daughter, our family. I am grateful for what He has given me and for what He has taken away. I am grateful for His love, for Him having loved me so much, Astrid and all of us, and for giving His life for us. I am grateful for RMI, who taught me to have a true relationship with the Beloved of my soul. I am grateful for knowing Him and being His bride. I am grateful that He is taking care of me and our daughter. I am grateful for you, beautiful brides. 6. Hello, dear friends. What a privilege it is for us to gather here on this Thanksgiving Day, to once again tell Him how grateful we are for everything He has allowed us to experience. That is why I open my heart, which is overflowing with gratitude to the Lord for all He has done in my life.

I am deeply grateful for the journey I have lived alongside my daughter Brincy, a path marked by deliverances, unexpected provisions, daily care, and also by struggles and difficulties which, instead of bringing us down, have drawn us even closer to our Beloved. Each challenge has become an opportunity to experience His faithfulness, and each victory, a reminder that He never abandons us.

Today, I give thanks not only for all we have already lived, but also for the promise of a bright future that He has prepared for both of us. May His name be glorified in every step of our story.

  7. This morning, I had my ultrasound appointment and I wasn’t feeling well.
There were many people in the waiting room, many sick, and the wait was very long.
So I kept talking to my Beloved, asking Him to speed things up.

Then, He accompanied me to the reception desk to find out my status, and in an instant, it was my turn. He calmed my heart.
I thank my Beloved for expediting my appointment.
    My results are perfect.
Glory to God for His faithfulness, His presence, and for His care of my health.

  8. I can be grateful for so many things, so many moments, both those I can remember and those that are difficult to recall. Although Thanksgiving isn’t celebrated in my country, the concept itself is truly beautiful.

Today I want to take this day to give thanks for so much, but I especially want to highlight the gratitude in my heart for the Ministry, for all of you who dedicate your lives in so many ways, which ultimately becomes an infinite blessing in my life. I thank my God because through Him and through this Ministry I have the joy of knowing my Beloved Heavenly Husband, who brings joy to my days.

I want to give thanks for all the blessings He has bestowed upon us and also for all that He has taken away, because only He knows what is good. And today I want to encourage you to remember to spend time with your Beloved, to sing to Him, to praise Him, to enter into that time of gratitude, because this process of giving thanks has healed me of many ailments and trials. It is beautiful to experience firsthand how, through gratitude, the heart focuses on what truly gives life. My dear ladies, I thank my Beloved for the life of each one of you. It is an honor to celebrate this day together. I want to share the link to my testimony of gratitude here, because He is ALL we need: https://hopeatlast.com/thankfulness-therapy/#comment-38908

  9. ✨ In my case, the therapy of gratitude has been an immense blessing. I carry His Word engraved on my heart—the moment He told me, “Enter my gates with thanksgiving and praise.” That is how I love to begin each day: thanking Him for everything He has given me and for His countless blessings. I also love to remember who He is to me, who He has been throughout my journey, and the precious ways He has revealed Himself—as my Savior, my Counselor, my Husband, my Friend, my Healer… As I meditate on these things, my heart leaps with joy, and I can feel myself bathed in His love.

I like to dwell on the small things—those we often take for granted—because when I start listing them, I realize I have far more to be grateful for than things I think I “lack.” That helps me see that He has filled my cup; it’s not half-empty, but overflowing. When He taught me to give thanks even for the things that seemed wrong in my own eyes—and to remember how He had used them for my good—He freed me from the sadness attached to those experiences and helped me recognize that everything truly is working together for my good. It’s hard to explain how the heart is renewed and finds rest in Him when we choose gratitude… but it does.

Recently, during my separation from my husband, I went through months where I felt a strong spiritual attack whenever I heard secular music—whether on the street or from my neighbors. I could feel depression trying to overtake me. But my Beloved reminded me of David, when an evil spirit tormented Saul, and David, through praise, could drive that spirit away. So I began thanking Him for my situation and praising my Beloved with music that reminded me of His blessings and helped me remember who He is.

I can testify that praise ALWAYS pushed back the depression. That spirit would leave me, and interestingly, the secular music would stop playing shortly after, while my worship continued for a long time. In this way, my Beloved helped me navigate that season. Now, even if I accidentally hear secular music, I no longer feel that oppression in my soul. I used to think secular music didn’t affect me, but after experiencing this, I realized it’s about the spirit behind the music and the intention with which it was created.

Today I am deeply grateful to my Beloved for His therapy of gratitude, because it has undoubtedly helped me overcome stages of my journey where the pain and sorrow felt overwhelming and tried to pull me into depression. Thanks to His prescription of gratitude, I am free from that sadness that seeks to lead us toward death.
