The Power of Giving

β™• Today's Promise: β€œDo not be afraid, for you will not be confused; Do not blush, for you will not be dishonored; But you will forget the shame of your youth, And you will no longer remember the reproach of your widowhood.” Isaiah 54: 4-6

Dear brides, There are many of the principles that we will learn as we read the chapters in Finding the Abundant Life like in chapter 9 β€œGive”, however, here we are taught the power of GIVING primarily when we believe we do not have the resources to do so.

I've learned that giving is about all we have, not necessarily the money, but we can still give love, peace, quiet, confidence, knowledge, encouragement.

I learn every day that applying every principle of the Lord in my life is the surest way for others to watch what the Lord is doing. I saw how people start to change their behavior just by looking at our lives.

I modified my thoughts so that I understood that I do not need much to live serenely so in the material aspects, all that I have and that others can occupy, I simply put it back. Working day after day with other wives often makes me ask the Lord for his wisdom to offer compassion, help, support or encouragement according to the Lord showing me the way and without letting my flesh resolve it.

Dear brides, I have learned that learning the principle of giving helps ourselves more than it does other people. And that the time when we have to give the most is when we have the greatest need in different aspects, not just financial. There are many gaps in life and this is what we have to learn to give, what we miss the most. Not to get something in return, but because it is the right thing to do in the sight of God.

β€œDo not be afraid, for you will not be confused; Do not blush, for you will not be dishonored; But you will forget the shame of your youth, And you will no longer remember the reproach of your widowhood.” Isaiah 54: 4-6

This verse touches my heart because when we believe that we must ask, we are afraid but we must always trust the Lord to.
