Very Surprising and Didn’t Make Sense

♕ Today's Promise: “Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8

So I’m learning how tithing protects us from the devour and how it’s not just tithing anywhere but where you are being fed. Tithing at my home church is going against what we are taught but I was doing it for a long while. The Lord has been faithful in supplying for my families needs. In the recent times I am beginning to see the importance of tithing in the right way. I’m not new to the principle just new to doing it the right way but I am learning a very valuable lesson and my eyes are being opened to the many opportunities to see how things are changing as I begin to change my way of doing things.

I have been spiritually fed by RMI off and on over the past years. Even when I’m not taking the courses I’m coming here for the encourager and/or the devotionals. So I consider myself being spiritually fed by this ministry. Now at some point last year I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis and was put on a medication to help with symptoms from the disease. When first filling my prescription I learned that my insurance did not cover the prescription and I would have to pay out of pocket about $15 for each fill, which may not seem like a lot but in my situation it was a lot for me.

Now all this time that I actually got the prescription filled I paid about $15. I was not aware that I could get it for less than what I was paying. At some point months ago I started setting my tithe aside to send in to RMI along with a testimony, which I delayed getting written and sent off due to procrastination, but my intentions were to get it sent in. So at some point I went to pick up my prescription, could have been at some point before or after sending off my tithe and testimony, and I was only charged $1.30 for my medicine, which was very surprising and didn’t make sense. I did not question the pharmacy about it to my remembrance.

So I sent my daughter to pick up my next refill at some point, thinking the price would be the same but it was not, so I had her to inquire about the reason the price had increased, especially when I had paid far less the last time. So the person helping her checked out some information and discovered that the prescription that was originally filled was put in for a brand of the prescription I needed that wasn’t covered under my insurance and that there was in fact a brand that was covered and I would only have to pay $1.30 per refill.

At some point after this I was able to get my prescription for the lesser price. I give God praise for all that He does and especially for showing me that He is concerned about all that concerns me, even if I’m unaware of it. I can’t say that I know for a fact that all this happened this way because I was preparing and eventually tithed to RMI but I can say that all the time that I was tithing before, to my home church, which doesn’t teach that we are required to tithe, I had to pay about $15 to fill my prescription. I honestly believe that this is my Love protecting me from the devourer, who was eating up the little bit of prescription money which was a great deal to me. I praise Him for all He has done and continues to do for me.

"And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts." Malachi 3:11 KJV

There are areas of our life where we need protection that we aren’t even aware of. God will protect us if we entrust our lives into His hands to receive the protection that we need.
