“Where’s that Girl?!”

It really turned out to be such a blessed time with my family in Florida and after my week stay my brother drove me to the airport. After we hugged and said goodbye I made my way through security and found myself in front of my gate where a loud announcement was taking place. We were informed that they had had an overbooking and needed volunteers who’d kindly give up their seat for a later departure and voucher compensation.

I stood there asking the Lord and felt that yes accept so I went to the counter and volunteered. Then as I sat watching passengers board the plane, one of the staff members came over and said, “Thank you for your willingness but we don’t need you to give up your seat anymore.” So I said, “Okay, Lord that’s fine!”

Went back in line and as soon as I reached the door where they scanned my ticket one of them shouts, “Where’s that girl?!” The other said, “She’s right here!” Pulling me aside again, they explained there’d been a change so please wait. Laughing to myself I remembered what my sister-in-law had messaged when I informed her about what was going on. She said she was praying I’d “have to” stay the night so we could have more time together! That’s when I overheard them say, “We have a volunteer but we can’t get her on any connecting flights today!” I leaned over and shared that it’d be alright to book me for a morning departure and they thanked me so much! haha

“Therefore the LORD longs to be gracious to you, and therefore He WAITS on high to have compassion on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; how blessed are all those who long for Him”—Isaiah 30:18

After the plane had left, I was asked to the counter where I was presented with my new tickets and airfare voucher! But then He does one more thing! The lady says, “Thank you so much, Miss Tara, just sign here and want you to know that because we’ve kept you overnight, we’ve increased the total.” It was a significant increase!!!! I was laughing out loud now!!! Never in my life haha I’m telling you, claim double and keep a good spirit and watch how the Lord comes through!!!

“Instead of your shame you will have a DOUBLE portion, and instead of humiliation they will shout for joy over their portion Therefore they will possess a DOUBLE portion in their land, Everlasting joy will be theirs. For I, the LORD, love justice, I hate robbery . . . And I will faithfully give them their recompense And make an everlasting covenant with them”— Isaiah 61:7-8
