Wise Man Warrior

β€œRepeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.” D67

Ladies, I have an amazing praise to share about my teenage son! We had such a wonderful time together doing the first chapter of the new course available on HomeGrownMinistries called the Wise Man Warrior.

My Lovely Lord and Friend led me to go through the course with him and we were able to discuss so many of the things in the chapter discussing the same principles as A Wise Woman. My son is not a boy of many words, but he mentioned something that he never really talks to me about and that is having his father in the house. He mentioned that he never really knew what a father should be like because it feels like his father is too far away.

This set me on a new path of guilt and regret, but the Lord quickly set my mind at ease telling me that my son is learning from Him and He is the best example. I felt so much at peace after that. I have often had this picture in my mind that my children are lacking because they don't have their dad in the house, but their Heavenly Father is all they will ever need and my children is learning this from a very young age, where with me it took me very long to realize this as I have always clung to people in my life and only after I lost the ones that mattered the most to me, my mother and then my earthly husband, was I able to realize that I only needed Him.

If you have teenage boys, I would like to encourage you to do this first chapter with them, I would love to read your comments as well so we can encourage each other as we together raise our sons to aΒ Wise Man Warrior.

  1. My dear Yvonne, I am always moved when I read what our beloved does in the lives of our children.
He knows how to do things better than we do. I have two big boys and I’m going to ask our HH for some instructions on how to read this chapter. Thank you for your eulogy…

  2. Exciting. I’m so glad that it provided you an opportunity to go through together with your son and guide him towards the love of his HF. I’ll definitely check out the first chapter of the Wise Man Warrior course. It sounds like a great resource for parents and their boys.

  3. Wow so good!! Our Beloved is the best Father in the world and He is so loving and faithful to reveal to us what is deeply rooted in the hearts of our children!! He shows us so we can surrender those feelings to Him and to gently point to them who He is to them!! Thank you for sharing how our Beloved is healing and becoming real to your amazing young man!

  4. Wow I love what the Lord does! Thank you for sharing precious Yvonne. I so much needed this. Just today I was worried because my youngest son did not al all have much of an example of a dad and this is such an awesome reminder, that he has his Heavenly Father as the best ever example.

  5. Dear Yvone, how beautiful your praise! I am always moved by what our Beloved has spoken to our hearts and directed us to teach our children. My 5 year old son also says that he misses his father and that he would like him to live with us, sometimes I can feel his frustration about this. But I have taught him to speak his feelings to his heavenly Father, that he is never alone, he has his heavenly Father taking care of him. Thank you dear for your guidance and encouragement on this day πŸ™πŸ½

  6. Dear Yvonne, what a great blessing. I was thinking that there was a resource that I could give to my son, and the Lord showed me this gift. I know that it will be a great blessing for young people. Our Beloved is the best Father for our children and like you, I sometimes worry because my son does not have his earthly father at this important age. Thank you for sharing. Like Him, He is in control of them.
