β Today's Promise: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path." Prov. 3:5-6
Dear Brides, itβs never easy to have a strain on a relationship, especially someone you love dearly. As you walk closely with your HH (Heavenly Husband), allow Him to guide you so that you and your loved one will have the time needed to heal completely.
This is a principle I have learned to be so important. Even though I practice it on others, I can say it has worked in my life. Time has been something I find so precious, especially when I am able to spend time with my HH (Heavenly Husband) and allow Him to speak to me and bring clarity to the situation. This makes the process so much more enjoyable and heal so quickly. Giving a situation time also allows us to step back as to not react, do or say something that later I would regret. So I try to not react, but give myself time with my HH and then follow His lead.
I remember as a child growing up, I would get so upset when my mom scolded me. If she was angry with me, I would cry and beg her to just be ok with me again. I remember sitting at the bottom of the staircase in the family room, while she would be upstairs in the kitchen, and I was like a broken record, sobbing the name "mommy" just to hope she would reply. Being an adult now, I knew she loved me and only did what she did to discipline me so I can behave correctly. It was her silence that I couldn't bear, just yearning for her loving touch to tell me everything was ok.
After reading this lesson it just confirmed with me that although my mom absolutely loved me, she just needed time and when given, she was back holding me in her arms. In other words, my begging and crying wasn't going to bring her back sooner and probably have her delay.
I can remember countless times when someone would be upset with me, and I always felt led from my HH to not try to defend or respond, but to simply give them their space and the beautiful thing is that not only is He working in my life, He is also working in the other person's life. It is so amazing when HE orchestrates a restoration of relationships, some with so much time apart, but He is faithful to do so. It amazes me when He softens the hearts and makes the relationships even better.
Dear Brides, there is no relationship that is impossible for our HH to restore. In this chapter read how Erin allowed to live this principle out and have a restored relationship not only with her brother, but sister-in-law also.
