“I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have spoken of Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth from the great congregation” (Ps. 40:10).
Beloved, have you spoken of the Lord’s faithfulness to those who need to hear a good word? The Psalmist said that when he kept silent he was sick in soul. Have you concealed the Lord’s lovingkindness from those who need to be loved, from those who are unlovable? Have you loved those who have been unkind or unfair to you—those in your home, those in your place of work, your enemies, your parents, your husband?
Beloved, the Lord says that anyone can be kind to those who are kind to them. But only those who are full of the Lord’s lovingkindness and His truth can love those who do not deserve to be loved. The Lord is faithful, full of lovingkindness, and abundant in truth. Today, let your light shine in such a way that the lost, the lonely, the angry, and the hurting may see your good works, so that they may see, through you, their heavenly Father who loves them with an everlasting love.
“I have not kept the Good News of your justice hidden in my heart; I have talked about Your faithfulness and saving power. I have told everyone in the great assembly of Your unfailing love and faithfulness.” (Psalm 40:10).
Beloved child, have you told everyone the Good News? Does your family and friends and people you meet know about the Lord’s faithfulness and and the power He has to save them from all their troubles?
Beloved child, the Lord says that anyone can be kind to those who are kind to them. But only those who are full of the Lord’s lovingkindness and His truth are able to love those who do not deserve to be loved and share His Good News. The Lord is faithful, full of lovingkindness, and abundant in truth.
Today, let your light shine in such a way that the lost, the lonely, the angry, and the hurting are able to see your heart by your good works so that they may see, through you, their heavenly Father who loves them with His everlasting love.
“You, O Lord, will not withhold Your compassion from me; Your lovingkindness and Your truth will continually preserve me” (Ps. 40:11).
Beloved, the road to restoration is often long and laborious. It seems to run together without event as though it will stretch on forever. How will you be able to continue? Through the Lord’s lovingkindness and His truth. These two things will continually preserve you. They continually preserve me. However, you must stay in His lovingkindness and study His truth.
Beloved, do not neglect the little things. It is so easy to get ourselves into a routine of busyness that brings about no fruit. It doesn’t bring us one step closer to our restoration. The things that you are going to do today—will any of them bring you closer to the Lord or closer to the restoration you seek? Seek the Lord this morning and every morning and allow Him to direct your day. Ask Him to lead you along your path of restoration, and obey His voice and His leading every moment of every day. Then one day you will be standing face to face with your miracle. Hallelujah!!
“O Lord, don’t hold back Your tender mercies from me. Let Your unfailing love and faithfulness always protect me. me; Your lovingkindness and Your truth will continually preserve me.” (Psalm 40:11).
Beloved child, the road you travel is often long and difficult, feeling as if it will continue on forever. Do you wonder if you will be able to continue? Ease your path with the Lord’s unfailing love. His truth promises to preserve you continually.
Beloved child, do not neglect the little things. Ask Him to lead you along His path that He’s made smooth and straight. Then, one day, soon, you will be standing face to face with your miracle. Rejoice!!
“You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, and Your right hand upholds me; and Your gentleness makes me great” (Ps. 18:35).
Beloved, it is the gentleness and kindness of the Lord that makes you great. Is it any wonder that He admonishes us to do the same to others? The greatest commandment, to love God with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength, is followed by loving others as we love ourselves. Are we not to treat others with the same gentleness that our heavenly Father bestows upon us?
Beloved, gain this supernatural gentleness by sitting in the presence of the Lord. Come into His gates with thanksgiving, thanking Him for all He has done for you this day and the day before. Then praise Him for His greatness, goodness, and faithfulness, and bless His holy name. Sit and feel the presence of the Lord. Bask in it just as you do when you lie in the sun. Allow your entire being to absorb His love. You will never be the same, nor will anyone who comes in contact with you and the love that radiates from your soul.
His gentleness makes me great.

“You give me Your protective shield; Your right hand supports me. Your willingness to help has made me great and You makes me strong.” (Psalm 18:35).
Beloved child, it is the gentleness and kindness of the Lord that makes you great. Is it any wonder that He encourages us to do the same to others? God says His greatest commandment is to love Him with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength. This allows us to begin loving others as we love ourselves. Strength is not in self-love, it is loving God and loving others.
Beloved child, gain this supernatural strength by snuggling into your Father’s arms. Come joyfully by thanking Him for all He has done for you today and yesterday. Allow your entire being to absorb His love. You will never be the same, and it will be felt by everyone who comes in contact with you—His love that radiates from your heart.
His gentle love makes you great.
“Be gracious to me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; according to the greatness of Your compassion blot out my transgressions” (Ps. 51:1).
Beloved, the Lord is gracious; He is slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness toward us. He does not strive with us, but instead draws us to Himself, the lover of our soul. It is His compassion toward us, His children, that enables Him to blot out our transgressions as we seek Him for forgiveness for our shortcomings.
Beloved, who can stand before the Lord? Who has not transgressed? Yet, it is He who forgives us and transforms us. Instead of hiding in shame, we can come before Him, bowed down, and He will lift us out of the miry clay of our iniquities and set us firmly upon the rock of His salvation. He will put a new song in our hearts, a love song to Him because of His gracious deliverance.
🎈 November 4
“Have mercy on me, O God, because of Your unfailing love. Because of Your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins, wipe away my rebellious acts.” (Psalm 51:1).
Beloved child, Your Father is gracious and full of mercy. He is slow to anger and overflowing in lovingkindness towards you. It is His compassion toward us, His children, that enables Him to blot out our transgressions when we simply seek Him for forgiveness.
Beloved child, instead of hiding, riddled with guilt and shame, just share your heart with Him. He knows it all anyway, so why not just give it to Him? I promise He will put a new song in your heart as you feel so free you’re floating on air.
“Instead of your shame you will have a double portion, And instead of humiliation they will shout for joy over their portion Therefore they will possess a double portion in their land, Everlasting joy will be theirs” (Isa. 61:7).
Beloved, this is a wonderful and encouraging promise from God to us. Every time that you feel humilation or shame you can count on the fact that someday soon you will have double the joy! Oh, the goodness of the Lord, for He has always written the last chapter in our lives.
Yes, Beloved, today you feel shame and are humiliated with the circumstances you have found yourself in, yet, it is only so that God can bless you beyond anything you can imagine. This promise is not just for anyone, dear one, but only to those whom have placed their trust in Him.
Have you placed your entire situation and that loved-one in God’s hands so that someday soon you will have double the joy? Do it today and look to the future with anticipation!
“Instead of shame, you will get a double portion; instead of humiliation, they will rejoice over the land they receive. Yes, they will possess a double portion in their land and experience lasting joy.” (Isaiah 61:7).
Beloved child, this is a wonderful and encouraging promise from our Father to us. Every time that you feel humiliated or ashamed, you can count on the fact that someday soon, you will have double the joy! Oh, the goodness of the Lord who has written the winning chapters into our lives’ story.
Yes, Beloved child, your Father longs to bless you beyond anything you can imagine. Give Him all your troubles and leave them in God’s hands so that someday soon, you will have double the joy. Do it right now and then begin to look to the future with excitement because you know what’s coming!
“…one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 3:12–14).
Beloved, what is the one thing you do? Do you reach toward what God has laid out for your life ahead, that prize? Or do you instead continue to rehearse and live in the past? Beloved, forget what lies behind since it is only binding you to your past pain, frustration, and brings it to your life right now.
Beloved, the Lord has a wonderful call on your life. But it will take letting go of the past, letting go of unforgiveness, and letting go of our goals in life. This will put you, Beloved, in the perfect place to reach that goal, to achieve that prize that is waiting for you.
🎈 November 6
“…one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and pressing forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God…” (Philippians 3:12–14).
Beloved child, what is the one thing you do? Do you press toward what your Father has prepared for your life, the prize He’s promised? Or do you instead continue to replay and live in your painful past? Beloved child, forget what lies behind. Break free from the chains of your pain and stop dragging your burdens with you.
Beloved child, the Lord has a wonderful plan for your life. But to reach the rewards, you must let go of the past, let go and forgive, and then let go of your plans. Only then are you free to reach the goal, His prize, that is waiting for you.
“But as for me, I shall sing of Your strength; yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your lovingkindness in the morning, for You have been my stronghold, and a refuge in the day of my distress” (Ps. 59:16).
Beloved, sing to the Lord, all you His beloved, for it is He who has trampled down our adversaries. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but yes, He delivers us out of them all. Why don’t we sing praises to our Lord for all that He has done? Do we instead allow the enemy to bring in something to distract us or to bring fear to our hearts so that he can steal our joy?
Beloved, sing of His lovingkindness in the morning and sing throughout the day. Take your thoughts captive and lock them up, surrounded by the lovingkindness of the Lord. Meditate and rehearse day and night how He has been your stronghold in times of trouble, how He continues to be a refuge in the day, the very hour, of your distress. Allow this countenance to be yours and draw others to our Lord’s saving grace.
“As for me, I will sing about Your strength; I will praise Your perfect love in the morning. For You are my Defender and my Shelter when I face trouble.” (Psalm 59:16).
Beloved child, sing to the Lord, all you, His Beloved children, for it is He who has trampled down our adversaries. Many are the troubles of the righteous, but oh, how He delivers us out of them all.
Beloved child, sing of His strength, His perfect love in the morning and all day long. Focus on how He’s delivered you and sheltered you when you’ve faced trouble. Meditate on these truths day and night. Then watch how you can’t help but sing and how your face shines, reflecting His saving grace.
“Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips will praise You” (Ps. 63:3).
Beloved, does your heart thrill and rejoice at the thought of the Lord’s lovingkindness toward you, for without a doubt it is better than life itself. If you cannot say this, then you need to know His lovingkindness toward you in a way that it will sink deep into your heart. You are missing the greatest blessing, the most powerful tool, which will allow you to be released from every bondage that you are held by—truly it is better than life itself.
Beloved, when you experience this lovingkindness that the Lord has toward you, His bride, you will praise the Lord from the rooftops. His praise will be continually on your lips. It will be written all over your face. Your heart will thrill and rejoice because the abundance of all He is and all He has will be turned to you. The light of His salvation will shine on you, and your life will be changed in an instant. Embrace Him now.
🎈 November 8
“Because Your unfailing love is better than life itself, my lips will give You all my praise.” (Psalm 63:3).
Beloved child, does your heart thrill and rejoice at the thought of the Lord’s lovingkindness toward you? Isn’t it better than life itself? If you cannot say this, you need to ask Him to show you how magnificent His love is towards you as His child.
Beloved child, remember this: it’s not something we earn or that we are good enough to be His child; it’s simply because of His goodness that He’s adopted us into His family. And all He asks is that we accept His gift with gratitude, never guilt. Now, isn’t that better than life itself, so your lips can’t help but give Him all your praise?!
“Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor His lovingkindness from me” (Ps. 66:20).
Beloved, bless the Lord, oh my soul, and all that is within me bless His holy and wonderful name! God has heard my cry; the Lord has heard your cry. He has not turned away our prayers from Him. Though we are but dust, though we are all sinners and have come short of the glory of God, He has clothed us with His righteousness! Hallelujah!!
Beloved, He has not turned His lovingkindness away from you. Don’t believe the lies of the enemy telling you that you have grieved the Lord and that He is angry with you. Turn to Him. Look into the face of the One who loves you with an everlasting and eternal love. There is nothing we can do to lose it, nowhere that we can hide from the love that the Lord has for us. Rejoice and bless God for His lovingkindness toward us! Hallelujah!!
“Praise God, He who did not ignore my prayer or withdraw His unfailing love from me.” (Psalm 66:20).
Beloved child, praise God who hears your cry and will never turn away when you call out to Him for help. Though we are dust, though we are all sinners and all come short of what He deserves from His child, yet He has clothed us with His righteousness! Praise God!!
Beloved child, He has never turned His lovingkindness away from you, no matter how you feel. Don’t believe the lies of the enemy telling you that you have disappointed your Father or that He is angry with you. Simply look into the face of the One who loves you with His unfailing and eternal love. There is nothing we can do to lose it, nowhere that we can hide from His love. Praise God for His lovingkindness toward us! Celebrate!!
“But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and truth” (Ps. 86:15).
Beloved, O Lord, you are a God that is full of mercy and gracious to the oppressed and cast down. You, O Lord, are slow to anger and abundant in your lovingkindness and truth toward us. How can we grasp this love you have for us? When we question it, we crumble and perish in our sorrow—but, when we embrace this love, we soar like eagles.
Beloved, spend time, long periods of time, basking in the Lord’s love toward us. Read aloud His precious Psalms that show us His faithfulness and His love. Let your heart thrill and rejoice in this. Transform and renew your mind in this one principle and you will be able to withstand every onslaught of the wicked one. Take the time today, and every day this week, to drench yourself in His Word, His love letters to you, His beloved.
🎈 November 10
“You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, generous in grace. You are patient and full of great loyal love and faithfulness” (Psalm 86:15).
Beloved child, our Father is full of compassion, generous in grace to the oppressed and cast down. Only He is abundant in compassion and grace toward us. How can we fully understand this kind of love He has for us?
Beloved child, spend time, long periods of time, drenched in the Lord’s love toward you as His child. Read aloud His precious Psalms, His songs, that show us His faithfulness and His love. Let your heart thrill and rejoice in this truth. Witness His transformation as you renew your mind in the one truth of His unfailing love—setting you free from fear. Take time today and every day this week, to drench yourself in His Word, His love letters to you, His beloved child.
“But I will not break off My lovingkindness from him, nor deal falsely in My faithfulness” (Ps. 89:33).
Beloved, God is not a God who can lie. He has promised that He will never break off His lovingkindness from you or me. He promised never to deal falsely in His faithfulness toward us as we put our trust in Him alone.
Beloved, to the degree that you trust in the Lord’s lovingkindness and His faithfulness is the degree to which blessings will be poured over and into your life. Venture out of your comfort zone and take Him at His Word. Stop using your energy trying to protect yourself, your heart, and your future. Give Him this burden and then take His yoke, for His is easy and His burden light. With the burden of protecting ourselves gone, we can spend our energies loving and worshipping God and blessing others from our overflow of joy!
“But I will never stop loving them nor fail to keep my promise to them,” says Your God. (Psalm 89:33).
Beloved child, God cannot lie because He is truth. And He has promised that He will never stop loving you and me. And He promised He’d never fail to keep each and every one of His promises written in His book.
Beloved child, depending on your level of trust in your Father’s lovingkindness and His faithfulness is measured in the peace and blessings He will continue to pour over and into your life. Step out of your comfort zone and take Him at His Word. Stop using your energy trying to protect yourself, your heart, and your future. Give this burden to Him since His yoke is easy and light. With all your burdens gone, you can spend all your energy simply loving Him!
“To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, and Your faithfulness by night . . .” (Ps. 92:2).
Beloved, declare and make known the lovingkindness of the Lord every morning. First, enter His gates by thanking Him for each thing He has done for you. Next, go deeper by giving Him praise. That is the way you enter into the King’s presence—through praise! Praise Him for who He is, the marvels which He has done.
Beloved, ponder throughout the day His faithfulness, and ponder it each and every night. Think of the times that He wrapped you in His loving arms and held you so that you could sleep, how He touched your heart with His love, and how He drew you out of the many waters that were too mighty for you during the day. And when others ask you why you glow, tell them about Him—the God of all gods, the Lord of all, who can change their lives in an instant, for it is He who lifts our heads and makes our hearts sing!
🎈 November 12
“It is fitting to declare Your loyal love in the morning, and Your faithfulness each night.” (Psalm 92:2).
Beloved child, declare and let everyone know how unfailing your Father’s love is for them every morning, first, by entering His presence and thanking Him for everything He has done for you. Then enter into the King’s presence—through praise! Praise Him for who He is and the marvelous things that He has done.
Beloved child, meditate all day about His faithfulness, and meditate on it each and every night. Think of all the times He’s wrapped you in His loving arms and held you so you could sleep. Think about how He rescued you from the dangerous waters too deep for you. Think of the times others ask you why you were glowing and Who can change their lives in an instant. This of Who lifts our heads and makes our hearts sing, then declare His wonders to everyone you see today.
“If I should say, ‘My foot has slipped,’ Your lovingkindness, O Lord, will hold me up” (Ps. 94:18).
Beloved, there is not one who walks the path of life whose foot does not slip, but, oh, the lovingkindness of the Lord will faithfully hold you up! You will tread upon cobras and come against deadly pestilence, but it will not befall you. Remember His promise toward you that a thousand may fall at your right hand and a thousand at your left, but it will not touch you! For you are His beloved, the apple of His eye.
Beloved, like a bridegroom who delights in His bride, this is the way the Lord loves you! You are His precious and blameless bride without any spot or wrinkle. If you don’t feel clean, then let Him wash you with the water of His Word, that He might present you as His perfect and beautiful bride. This is the great mystery of the Lord and His church. He is my Beloved, and I am His. Seek your first love this morning and rekindle your love for Him. He is waiting for you my dear.
🎈 November 13
“When I cried out, “I am slipping!” it was Your unfailing love, O Lord, supporting me.” (Psalm 94:18).
Beloved child, there is not one of His children whose foot has not slipped. But, oh, the unfailing love of your Father who supported you and lifted you up! In this life, you will tread upon cobras and come against deadly pestilence, but its danger will not come near to you.
Beloved child, remember His promise toward you that a thousand may fall at your right hand and ten thousand at your left, but it will not touch, harm, or come near to you! For you are His Beloved child, the apple of His eye.
“Help me, O Lord my God; save me according to Your lovingkindness” (Ps. 109:26).
Beloved, cry out to God! He promises to hear the cry of the afflicted. Don’t sit in your misery, believing that God doesn’t care. He only wants to hear you call on His name, and He will answer you from His holy hill. Turn your eyes upward, for your redemption draws nigh, closer, as you cry out to Him in your distress.
Beloved, He promises to deliver you out of all your distresses. God is so faithful; He will never close His ear to His beloved child who calls Him by His name. It is because of His lovingkindness that He saves us, not by anything we can or will do. Remember, He has allowed this time of tests and trials to draw you to Himself and to kill the flesh that has kept you from Him and His blessings. Cry out to Him, “O Lord, my God, save me according to Your lovingkindness, according to Your righteousness; blot out my transgressions, so that my life may truly be yours.”
🎈 November 14
“Help me, O Lord my God! Save me because of Your unfailing love.” (Psalm 109:26).
Beloved child, cry out to God! He promises to hear the cry of the troubled. Don’t sit in your misery, believing that God doesn’t care.
Beloved child, He promises to deliver you out of every one of your troubles. It’s because of God’s, our very Father’s, unfailing love, His lovingkindness that He saves us, not by anything we can or will do. Remember, He has allowed this time of tests and trials to draw you closer to Him. So cry out to Him—Save me because of Your unfailing love every time you are distressed.
“For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish” (Ps. 1:6).
Beloved, the Lord knows and directs your steps. He has ordained them and is faithful to guide and direct you. Seek Him and seek His ways. Let Him order your steps toward Him, toward righteousness, toward restoration. He is faithful to those who seek Him earnestly with all their hearts, souls, and minds.
Beloved, the second portion of this verse we should not ignore or take lightly. The way of the wicked, God says, will perish. Your loved one may be seeking any number of wicked things, but soon, oh so soon, that way will perish. Trust His Word on this so that you can be free from worry about what your loved-one has said he or she will do, and free from using your time and energy with even thinking about it! Trust the Lord, all you people! Sing praises to His name!!
“For the Lord watches over the path of the Godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.” (Psalm 1:6).
Beloved child, the Lord watches over the path, each step He has led you to take, by guiding and directing you. So take the straight path by seeking Him and acknowledging He is with you, right next to you.
Beloved child, don’t miss the second part of His promise. God says the way of the wicked is leading them right into destruction. Your loved one may be seeking any number of wicked things, but soon, oh so soon, that way will end. Trust His Promises, set free from worry about what your loved one has said he or she might do. Trust the Lord, then sing songs of gratitude to the One who achieves the impossible because He loves us and who we love!!
“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want” (Ps. 23:1).
Beloved, we are the sheep of the Lord’s pasture. He is faithful to feed us, care for us, protect us from danger, and even discipline us if we wander away from His flock or outside the hearing of His voice. We cannot be in want or need of anything!
Beloved, the Bible says that we know His voice and we, His sheep, follow Him. Are you listening? Do you know His sweet, still voice, calling you back to the first things? Are you an obedient sheep who sticks close to the Shepherd and Guardian of your soul? Draw close to Him today. Listen for His voice as He guides and directs your every step.
“The Lord is my Shepherd, I have all that I need.” (Psalm 23:1).
Beloved child, we are His sheep, the lambs of the Lord’s. So, of course, He faithfully feeds us, cares for us, and protects us from danger. He even disciplines us if we wander away from His flock or stray too far so we can’t hear His voice. We have all that we need!
Beloved child, God’s Word says that we know His voice, and we, His sheep, follow Him. Are you listening? Are you eager to hear His sweet, still, small voice calling you? Are you His little lamb who stays beside the Shepherd and Guardian of your soul? Be sure to move closer to Him today. Listen for His voice as He guides and directs your every step.
“He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters” (Ps. 23:2).
Beloved, the Lord so often makes us to lie down in the sweet pastures. He may have been wooing you to lie down, but you have not taken the time to slow down and rest in His sweet pastures to think about, mediate on, and feel His love. The Lord uses illness in us or our loved ones to make us lie down; He makes us weary in our fasting to make us lie down; He allows our human efforts in restoring our relationships to wear us out to make us lie down.
Beloved, lie down and rest there beside the quiet waters. Rushing waters mean fear, but the quiet waters bring refreshment and calmness to our souls. Beloved, you need rest. You must rest in Him. He will accomplish what concerns you. He tells us to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. He tells us we don’t need to fight the battle, for it is He who will tread down our adversaries. Beloved, lie down in the green, sweet pastures and listen to the soothing waters. Set aside time to do this in the midst of all that you “think” you must do.
“He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters.” (Psalm 23:2).
Beloved child, the Shepherd is who makes us lie down in the sweet green pastures—giving us time to slow down and think about, meditate on, and feel His love. The Lord often uses illnesses to make us lie down or a difficult relationship that wears us out, so we lie down.
Beloved child, stop to lie down and rest beside the quiet waters. Rushing water causes fear, but quiet, still waters bring refreshment and calmness to our souls. Beloved child, you need rest in Him. He will take care of everything that concerns you. He tells us to stand still and watch the salvation of the Lord and promises us that we don’t need to fight battles.
Beloved child, take a moment today to lie down in the green, sweet pastures and listen to the soothing waters. Set aside time to do this no matter what you “think” you must do.
“He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake” (Ps. 23:3).
Beloved, He is the restorer of your soul; He is the lifter of our head. He is the Rock, your fortress, your deliver. He is your protection, so why do you fear? Meditate on the protection of the Lord for perfect peace. This will restore your soul so that it is not in want of any good thing that the Lord desires to bless you with this very day!
Beloved, the Lord will be faithful to guide you in the paths of His righteousness as you seek Him with all your heart, soul, and strength. In all your ways, in all that you do today, acknowledge that He is waiting to direct you, is longing to hear you, to be near to you, and He will direct your paths toward restoration, fullness, and joy!
Hallelujah! Glory to the Lord!!
“He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to His name, for the sake of His reputation.” (Psalm 23:3).
Beloved child, He is your strength. He is your Rock, your Fortress, your Deliverer. He is your Protection, so why fear? Meditate on His protection to find His perfect peace.
Beloved child, the Lord will faithfully guide you along the right paths. Why? To bring honor to His name, for the sake of His, not our, reputation. In all your ways, in all that you do today, think about how He is waiting to direct you and longing to listen to you, to be near to you. He is guiding your paths toward restoration, fullness, and joy!
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil . . .” (Ps. 23:4).
Beloved, our paths are not always heading toward the high mountains of blessings. For the Lord tells us that in this life we will have tribulations—but be of good cheer for He has overcome this world and all that the evil in it. Many are the afflictions of those who love Him, serve Him, and are called according to His purpose in their lives, but the Lord delivers His beloved out of them all! Not just out of “some” but out of all! So tell your soul to rest in Him, for He will deal bountifully with you!
Beloved, why should we fear the evil that is in this world, when we have a God who loves us and protects us? If we could truly grasp His loving protection and His lovingkindness toward us, we would have no fear at all, because His perfect love casts out all fear from our being! Say to yourself, “I will not fear, for You are with me, oh Lord!” Meditate on this thought today and anytime that anything tries to come and steal your peace. If God is for us, who cares who tries to come against us!
“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid…” (Psalm 23:4).
Beloved child, the paths He leads us through are not always heading toward the high mountains of blessings. Instead, the Lord promises that in this life, we will have difficulties and valleys—but we can still cheer because He has overcome this world and all the evil in it.
Beloved child, why fear the evil that is in this world when we have a Father and Son who loves us and protects us? And His perfect love casts out all fear! Say to yourself, “I will not fear, for You are with me!” Meditate on this today and every time anything tries to cause you to fear and steal your peace. God is for us—who cares who tries to come against us?!
“. . . for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me” (Ps. 23:4).
Beloved, the Lord is with you. Isn’t that an awesome thought? He is there with you as you read this; He is here with me while I type this! He is with us and He loves us, we who are but dust and will return to dust! He is mindful of us and acquainted with us. God, the creator of the universe, loves us! Just Selah on that—think about it, ponder it, and let it sink deep into your soul.
Beloved, His rod and His staff are there for your protection. He is not there to beat you with it, to force you into submission. It is His love for us that makes us yearn to be obedient to Him. He uses His staff and the rod of His protection to keep away those things that can harm us. He uses the hooked portion to pull us back to Him and into His flock as we begin to wander too closely to the edge of each cliff. Thank Him and praise Him for His goodness toward us. Think on the promise of His protection today and find comfort in Him!
“. . . for You are close beside me. Your rod and Your staff protect and comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4).
Beloved child, the Lord is close beside you. Isn’t that an awesome thought? He is there with you as you read this; He is here with me while I type this! He is with us, and He loves us. God, the Creator of the universe, loves us, and He is our Father! Just Selah—think about it, ponder it, and let it sink deep into your spirit.
Beloved child, His rod and His staff are used for your protection. He is not going to beat you with it and force you into obeying. It is His love for us that makes us eager to obey Him. He uses His staff and the rod of His protection to keep away everyone and everything that can harm us. He uses the hook of His staff to pull us back to Him each time we wander too closely to the edge of each cliff. Thank Him for His goodness. Today, stop to remember about His protection and find comfort in Him!
“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; my cup overflows” (Ps. 23:5).
Beloved, oh Beloved, with all the Lord does for us, He goes above and beyond love, protection, and provisions—He presents even more of His blessings to you, to be set out before those who have hated, despised, and persecuted you! Our God is awesome!
Beloved, think on this; meditate on this. Is it not enough that we praise and worship God that He delivers us from our enemies? But the Lord does not stop there—He blesses us in such a glorious way and He makes sure that He does it in front of our enemies!! Hallelujah!!
Oh, Beloved, claim this promise as your own. He promises that we will never be put to shame as long as our trust is in Him!
“You prepare a feast before me in plain sight of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup is completely full and overflows.” (Psalm 23:5).
Beloved child, oh Beloved child, look at all the Lord does for us! He goes far beyond loving, protecting, and providing for us—He prepares a feast before us so our enemies, all those who have hated, despised, and persecuted us, can see it! Our Father is amazing!
Beloved child, think on this; meditate on this. He actually rewards us in front of our enemies!!
Oh, Beloved child, He promises that we will never be put to shame as long as our trust is in Him!
“Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever” (Ps. 23:6).
Beloved, can you make this statement with all sincerity of heart? Knowing that it is sure, that it is settled, that the Lord’s goodness and His lovingkindness will be with your all the days of your life? Do you “smile at the future,” or do you still battle foreboding thoughts and a feeling that something bad is going to happen? Then you are not experiencing the blessings He has waiting for you. For the Lord wants you to be filled with joy, but you cannot truly feel joy when there is fear looming about.
Beloved, you are a child of the great King! You will soon dwell in the house of the Lord forever!! We are but pilgrims on this earth; this is not our home. While we are here, we need to show the love of the Lord to others. However, we cannot show it if we live in fear, and doubt who we are in Him. We need to show the world, those who are lost, that there is joy in the Lord by our countenance (our faces), by the peace with which we handle the onslaught of the wicked, and by the joy that surrounds us as we share what God is in our lives. This is a walking testimony that brings glory to God.
Oh, Beloved, spend time in His Word and in your prayer closet in the presence of the Lord. Do it today and every day, and watch yourself and your life change! I would have despaired had I not believed I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Praise the Lord!!
“Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever and ever.” (Psalm 23:6).
Beloved child, are you “smiling at the future,” or are you still battling negative thoughts and you’re fearful that something bad might happen? Then you are not living in the blessings He has for you. Your Lord wants you to be filled with joy, but you cannot truly feel joy when there is fear hovering over you.
Beloved child, you are the child of the great King! He promises that we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever!! We are simply traveling on this earth towards our home. While we are here, He wants us to show His love to others. Yet how can we show His love when we live in fear? Yes, we travel through dark valleys, but we are heading to where we will live— in the house of the Lord forever and ever.
“Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth” (Ps. 100:1).
Beloved, let your life shout of the joyfulness of the Lord!! Let your lips bring praise, glory, and honor to Him!! Tell of His wondrous deeds He has done in your life. Tell Him how good He is. Tell Him how faithful He is. Tell Him how loving and kind He is. And when you do, He will be good to you, faithful to you, loving to you, and more kind to you than you could ever imagine!!
Beloved, sing praise to the Lord with a loud voice; do it in your home with your praise music. Do it in your church in the assembly of the righteous. Oh, may it be in the midst of all who love Him, for He is worthy to be praised! Meditate on all He has done. If there is any gloom or despair in your heart, it will be quickly lifted when your praise Him. Praise the Lord! Hallelujah!!
“Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth!” (Psalm 100:1).
Beloved child, let your life shout with joy the Lord!! Tell everyone how wonderful and good He is. Tell everyone how faithful He is. Tell everyone how loving and kind He is. When you do, He will be good to you, faithful to you, loving to you, and more kind to you than you could ever imagine!!
Beloved child, sing to the Lord with a loud voice. Have your special songs set aside, and listen to them often. While singing, just think about all He has done. If there is any lingering sadness in your heart, this will quickly lift when you sing and shout with joy!!
“Serve the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful singing” (Ps. 100:2).
Beloved, serve up some gladness to the Lord this morning; begin to thank Him for different things He did for you yesterday! Once you begin to thank Him, you will not be able to stop thinking and rejoicing in the goodness of the Lord! Wake up with praise on your lips. Put away the concerns of the day that has just begun. Spend every morning with joyful singing!
Beloved, this is the way you enter into His gates, to behold His beauty. It is through our praise and joyful singing that His gates are opened up to us. Don’t wake up with a list of things that you want the Lord to do for you; first you must enter into His gates. Don’t come with despair and worry, wringing your hands. Lift up your hands and praise the Lord—enter His courts! God is powerful; there is nothing too difficult for Him. Show Him your love for Him by trusting that He will hear and answer you in the day you call. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise! Hallelujah!!
“Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into His presence with singing!” (Psalm 100:2).
Beloved child, serve up a chorus of gladness to the Lord this morning. Begin by thanking Him for the many things He did for you yesterday! Once you begin to thank Him, you cannot stop thinking and enter into His presence with singing! Wake up with gratitude in your heart and let go of all your concerns, beginning the new day in song.
Beloved child, don’t wake up with a list of things you need to do. Instead, enter into His gates by thanking your Father. God, your Father is powerful—there is nothing too difficult for Him. Just ask and leave it to Him. When your day begins like this, you can’t help but continue your morning with joyful singing!
“Know that the Lord Himself is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture” (Ps. 100:3).
Beloved, do you know who you are in Him? If you fail to understand this, you will be easy prey for the enemy who wants to devour you and keep you from all that God has for you. We are but dust, but He is everything. We are nothing in and of ourselves, but with God, as a child of God, as the Lord’s bride, we are more than conquerors. Our sins keep us from a holy God, but through the blood of Jesus, our sins have been made as white as snow. We now wear the robe of His righteousness, not our own.
Beloved, when the enemy tries to make you believe that you are not worthy to receive from the Lord, or tries to convince you that the Lord is angry with you to make you hide from Him rather than running to Him, break that stronghold with the truth that you are God’s child, the Lord’s bride who is clothed with the righteousness. We don’t come in our Name, but in the name of the Lord! Praise the Lord! Hallelujah!!
“Acknowledge that the Lord is the supreme God! He made us, and we are His own. We are His people, the sheep of His pasture, grazing in His fields.” (Psalm 100:3).
Beloved child, are you confident that you are His? He is the supreme God, and He says we are His own, His chosen people, the sheep of His pasture.
Beloved child, when the enemy lies to you and tries to make you believe that you are not worthy or tries to convince you that your Father is angry with you. Don’t hide from Him—begin running to Him—break free! The truth that we are His will set you free!!
“Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him; bless His name” (Ps. 100:4).
Beloved, He is waiting for you to enter in. Begin by giving thanks to the Lord with a heart of thanksgiving for all He has done, for all His promises that He has given to you, for His promises are “yes” and “amen”!! Come into His courts with the praise that is due Him. Lift your hands and bless the Lord.
Beloved, sing to Him a new song, a song of praise to our God, for He is good, and His lovingkindness endures forever! Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name!! With a heart of joy, today you will leap over a wall and put all your enemies to flight. For where the Lord is, there is praise and peace beyond measure. Sing, all you people! Give thanks to Him, bless His name, and enter in to the joy of the Lord!!
“Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise. Offer Him your gratitude and praise His name.” (Psalm 100:4).
Beloved child, He is waiting for you to enter in and greet Him. Begin the moment you open your eyes by offering Him a heart of thanks for all He has done. Just think of all the promises that He has given to you. Every promise is yours because you are His, His child, His sheep, His own!
Beloved child, sing a new song to Him, singing how He is good—His love and kindness lasts forever! Bless the Lord, oh my Father, and all that is within me, bless Your name!! With a heart of joy, you can leap over a wall of troubles and cause all your enemies to flee. For where He is, there is peace beyond measure. Sing, all you people! Give thanks to Him and enter into the joy of the Lord!!
“For the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting, and His faithfulness to all generations” (Ps. 100:5).
Beloved, do you tell the Lord how good He is? Tell Him, and He will bless you with good things! We were created to bless Him, worship Him, and fellowship with Him. Do not stand afar off—come to Him and bless Him for His goodness toward you. He has not given us the punishment we deserved, but in His mercy, as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us! The Lord is good!!
Beloved, His lovingkindness toward us is everlasting. It cannot be thwarted, no matter what we have done. He is faithful to all the generations of the earth, to those who fear Him. The Lord is good; He can be trusted. Think on this today. Meditate on it right now. Do not let anyone or anything cause you to doubt this. Praise Him for all things, in all things, and see that He is good, that His lovingkindness is everlasting, and that He is faithful to all generations—hallelujah!
“For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and His faithfulness continues through each generation.” (Psalm 100:5).
Beloved child, did you wake up telling the Lord how good He is? Tell Him now, and watch how He will bless you with good things! We were created to bless Him, to fellowship with Him as His children. Don’t stand back, forgetting He is your Father. Come near, embrace Him. He has not given us the punishment we deserve but has given us His mercy. As far as the East is from the West, so far has He removed our mistakes and wrongdoings from us! Oh, He is so good!!
Beloved child, His loving and kindness toward us is everlasting. It cannot be stopped, no matter what we have done. He promised to be faithful to all the generations of the earth, to all of us who love Him. The Lord is good; He can be trusted. Think about this today. Meditate on it right now. Do not let anyone or anything cause you to doubt this. He is good, and His love for His children is everlasting!!
“You have removed my acquaintances far from me; You have made me an object of loathing to them; I am shut up and cannot go out” (Ps. 88:8).
Beloved, if you are alone, if the one whom you love has left you, then do not despair. It is not your loved one who has left you, but it is the Lord who has removed them from you. It is not His desire to take this one away from you forever, but only for a season to give you this precious and intimate time with your first love—Him. Use this time wisely; let go of your loved-one here—give him or her to God. Do not try to hang on, for in doing so you will become an object of loathing to them. The Lord will need to shut you up in your life so you can no longer wander from Him.
Beloved, have you failed to let go? Even if your loved-one is not aware of your heart toward them, the Lord knows. Do you still long and yearn for them? Do you still think of them more often than you are thinking of the Lord that day? Are your moods dependent on what your this person does or does not do, or what you think they are doing? Then you have not let go; It proves that they are still first in your heart, and your precious Savior is still in second place. Release them today and take Jesus into your heart. Then seek no longer anyone but the face of the Lord, and keep your eyes, thoughts, and heart on Him, the lover of your soul.
“You have driven my friends away by making me offensive to them. I am trapped with no way of escaping.” (Psalm 88:8).
Beloved child, if you have been rejected and feel alone. If the people you love have abandoned you, do not grieve or worry. It is they who have left you; it is He, your Father, who has removed them and driven them from you. Yet, know this. They are not gone forever. No, He has designed you to have Him and only Him for a season.
Beloved child, have you failed to let them go? Do you still try to get them to care, to come back? Who is first in your heart and mind? Are your moods dependent on what certain people do or do not do or what you think they are doing? Release them today and take the hand of the One who owns your heart. Seek His face and let your heart be His alone.
“My eye has wasted away because of affliction; I have called upon You every day, O Lord; I have spread out my hands to You” (Ps. 88:9).
Beloved, are you still in great affliction? Have you been faithful to call upon the Lord every day, with outstretched arms? Seek Him while He may be found. Cry out to the Lord, for from Him only is your salvation. Say to your soul, “He alone is my salvation, my rock, my fortress.” Wait in silence for God only.
Beloved, these times of grief and tears are only for a time. Soon you will come again, with your bag of seeds of faith, with joyful shouting because the Lord will have dealt bountifully with you. Use those tears to water the seeds of your faith. Be careful to remove all unforgiveness, which will turn to a deep root of bitterness. No matter what anyone has done to hurt you, intentional or unintentional, why be bound to them and that sorrow, when you can instead have the Lord remove that root that is choking the Word from your heart and your life and have His perfect peace? Forgive and live again, and bless the name of the Lord!
“My eyes are blinded by my tears. Each day I beg for Your help. I reach my pleading hands to You for Your mercy.” (Psalm 88:9).
Beloved child, are you blind behind your tears? Oh, dear child, you don’t need to beg for your Father’s help. He has heard your cry and is right there next to you, but your tears blind you, so you believe you are alone.
Beloved child, your tears are only for a time of grief. Soon, you will be overflowing with joyful shouting because the Lord will overwhelm you with blessings you never dreamed of or imagined. Use your tears to water the seeds of your faith. Remove any unforgiveness to avoid any roots of bitterness. No matter what anyone has done to hurt you. Forgive whether it was designed to hurt you or be due to foolishness. Roots of unforgiveness are what is choking the joy and His Word from your heart and your life. Your Father longs for you to live in His perfect peace. Forgive and live joyfully once again!
“You have removed lover and friend far from me; my acquaintances are in darkness” (Ps. 88:18).
Beloved, it is the Lord who has removed your lover and your friend from you. So far as He removed them that they are in darkness so that you can no longer pursue them. This is the time set aside for you to know and love the Lord. It is time that He is everything to you. It is God who shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Beloved, He can fill the emptiness in your heart; He can fill your lonely evenings with His perfect companionship. He will stick closer to you than a brother while you pour out your heart full of hurts, or the desires of your heart for the future. He can turn your situation in an instant and meet your financial needs when there seemed to be no way in the wilderness. Beloved, fall in love with the Lord today; let Him become everything to you.
“You have taken away my companions and loved ones. Darkness is my closest friend.” (Psalm 88:18).
Beloved child, remember that the Lord has removed your companions and loved ones from you. He has hidden them in darkness so that you can no longer pursue them and you want more of Him. Take this time to experience and know the love He has for you.
Beloved child, He longs to fill until overflowing the emptiness in your heart. Once you know His perfect companionship that leaves you full of Him and in no need of anyone or anything else, life will sing again. He promises to stick closer to you than a brother and only He can turn your situation around in an instant and turn every heart towards you. Beloved child, make your Father and Best Friend become everything to you!
