My Heavenly Love Certainly Answered Prayers

I asked for prayers from friends earlier today. I was terrified and stressed for no reason. It was the enemy at work on me. I was tested and nearly succumbed.

My husband came to visit the kids. I was playing Scrabble with the 2 big kids and he was playing hungry, hungry hippos with the little 2. Well, I went to cook supper and came back and he was texting someone. I saw a girl’s picture at the top and immediately thought the worst. I just kept on walking by, pretended I was using the bathroom and sat in my shower and cried. I tried to stop, but couldn’t on my own. That’s when I began to quietly sing (for no one else to hear).

Blessed be Your Name

When I’m found in the desert place

Though I walk through the wilderness

Blessed be Your Name

Every blessing You pour out

I’ll turn back to praise

When the darkness closes in

Lord, still I will say

Blessed be Your Name

I wiped my face off and went back to cooking. My husband came in to talk and asked why I was upset. I told him it really wasn’t anything important, but when he pressed I was honest in that I just didn’t like thinking about him texting another woman, but that I immediately went on by and didn’t read anything. He looked confused, then promised me there wasn’t any secret texting. I said I believed him and that he didn’t have to prove anything or make excuses to me. Well, he showed me his phone anyway; he was texting me scrabble words!

Then he looked at all my appliances and my bathroom where the lights had burned out and immediately went to Walmart, bought light bulbs and changed every dark light in my house!

I wasn’t going to ask my husband to perform any household tasks for me, but he offered! I had been showering by the light of my cell phone for a week because I couldn’t figure out that specific fixture. My Heavenly Love certainly answered prayers in fixing my lights AND having my husband be the one to do it!

No, our relationship isn’t healed yet, but the Lord is beginning to soften my husband’s heart. He is now caring about my tears a little and taking care of me!! God is at work in my husband’s heart!!
