Here I am in a new chapter of my life as the Managing Operations Director of RMI. Who would have thought?! Definitely not me:) I am so very excited. This was one of the easiest decisions to make, but also one of the hardest things to do. A step in faith I would never have thought myself able to do. Moving out of a comfort zone I have been in for 20 years. So, then it must ALL be Him and not me. Thank you, my dearest Lord!!!
I am sure, all of you has heard the saying: “The Lord works in mysterious ways”. I do not think I can ever fathom the depth of this statement. The following verse comes to mind when I ponder Him: “The Lord replied: “Look, and be amazed! You will be astounded at what I am about to do! For I am going to do something in your own lifetime that you will have to see to believe.” (Habakkuk 1:5)
Well Lord, here I am amazed and astounded:) After what has happened in my life these past few years, I can truly tell you that there is nothing the Lord cannot do. We are very fond of the verse: “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26) But to quote this verse and to really believe it in your heart for your situation are two totally different things.
A few months ago, I cannot even really recall all the details, I went into my friend’s office and told her we should pray that the Lord will help me work from home. She prayed with me that day but later told me that she was thinking, “Lord, how will you ever be able to do this for her?” And here I am, a testimony to His wonders that astounds us every day.
This ministry was a lifeline for me when I needed it the most. When I could not stand on my own, the lessons I learned here and the books I got here brought me into a relationship with the Lord that I never thought I was able to achieve or even believed could exist. I never knew you can just talk to the Lord for the fun of it, just to make conversation and for no apparent reason at all:)
The Bible used to be a tediously long book which I could never get through one chapter without losing concentration or interest. The ministry taught me that every page is a treasure chest full of promises and guidance and comfort from my Heavenly Husband.
Now, I have been blessed with the opportunity to give back what was so lovingly sewed into my life by the wonderful partners of this ministry. I see each one of you as a lifeguard sitting beside a pool of drowning people, throwing them life vests that if they just hold on to would save their lives.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this opportunity and also to share with you something the Lord shared with me. He says in His word: “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11) This is a well-known verse, but what the Lord showed me, brought tears to my eyes. He showed me every event that took place in my life – the good and the bad, was to bring me here to this point. Here where He wants me to be. Just to share a small part with you: The job I had before I came to this ministry, I have no idea how I got it. I never applied for it. It would not have been the career path I chose for myself. I was phoned and asked to come for an interview but someone I never met and has no idea how she got my number. That is how I met my FH who then later divorced me that brought me here to RMI. The work I did over the years gave me the much needed experience to do this work. So even then, the Lord had all of it planned, all of it mapped out. Coming across this website was by His divine intervention. I would never have used a search engine to look up marriage websites. It was a dear friend of mine but then only an acquaintance that sowed the RYM book into my life which got me wanting for more and that is how I came upon the website. All the times I doubted Him, all the times I wondered “why me”, He was busy weaving the tapestry of my life.
So yes partners, the Lord works in mysterious ways and His way is always better than ours. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9King James Version (KJV)
And as I am sure as each of you look back on your life, you will be able to see the golden thread the Lord has woven in each of your lives to bring you to this point where you are able to sow into the lives of other women. So for Erin and the partners to quote a wonderful song: “Thank you for giving to the Lord, I am a life that was changed.”
I pray that the Lord uses the talents He gave me to contribute to so many women getting to know Him as their Heavenly Husband and the Lover of their souls. Please consider joining with me.
All my love
