Fear of Not Having Enough

♕ Today's Promise: "Jesus said to them, when I sent you out without money belt and bag and sandals, you did not lack anything, did you? They said, No, nothing." Luke 22:35

Dear brides, do we really believe his word in Philippians 4:19, that He will supply all our needs not just financially but in every single area of our lives? This lesson [What Do You Believe?] would help you reflect if we truly believe it or just say it out of our mouths.

I am one of those budget people, it wasn’t always like that but my EH (earthly husband) wanted me to be like that, that I became one. During this time being the only person bringing money home I would say I became more organized or so I thought.

Recently my parents moved in with me and they haven’t been budget people but we never lacked a thing, they always provided for me and my sister. They always had to share and bless families and neighbors and friends, they never worry about not having enough and they truly live blessing others believing that God will always supply their needs.

This has been a confirmation of how it is possible to live like the lesson teaches and I see this as a season in my life that God wants to teach me to believe this verse just like my parents do.

Seeing how easy my parents want to pay for anything and everything, without even looking at their bank account. And seeing how I am so concerned I always look at the budget and even when I see enough I still purchase things thinking I shouldn’t buy this or that. I want to be like my parents in that way, when they see a person in need, they always want to help, both of them, they would fix homes, buy groceries and food for others, share food with unexpected visitors and they don’t worry about making it to the end of the week.

Definitely I see God wants to teach me to share, my coworkers also always share food with me, it may sound laughable but I started last week to bring mandarins for all the ladies as an afternoon snack. You have to know I am the kind of person who counts the mandarins in the bag and divides them through the week to ensure I have enough until the next shopping day. I want to share more with others and just lose the fear of not having enough. I will look for ways to bless others even when it seems I won’t have enough, because that is when we need to give more, the sad part for me is that the Lord has proven this promise in my life and I still struggle with it.

Dear brides, trust in the Lord that He will supply ALL our needs goes beyond just financially, we think we need certain things that would make us feel better like having a husband but we truly need to trust He will fulfill that need with His love!

"Jesus said to them, when I sent you out without money belt and bag and sandals, you did not lack anything, did you? They said, No, nothing." Luke 22:35

Sometimes we may want a detailed budget with all this different categories but the Lord sent them without anything but that doesn’t mean they lack during their trip, the Lord was faithful to provide for them and take care of them in everything!
