Thank you for sharing this beautiful powerful principal. I will never forget when I battled depression years ago and my Darling Lord used His Word to set met free and led me to speak His promises into my life: “For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.” H4:12 https://biblehub.com/kjv/hebrews/4-12.htm
My Darling Lord healed me of depression ( https://encouragingwomen.org/alive-with-a-purpose/ ) and while driving the other day was thinking how I am living my favorite promise (which is so deep into my heart): everlasting joy is on my head; I obtained gladness and joy, sorrow and sighing shall flee away. I35:10 https://biblehub.com/isaiah/35-10.htm
This is THE most important principle l learned. I see the fruits of it in my life and marriage and family everyday π
I never through I would be able to memorize any verses, but just through reading His word, translating and proofreading the resources in AFR, so many verses sank into my heart and when situations come up, He brings one of those verses to mind to help, comfort and guide me. His word truly transforms us and wash us clean.
“That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word” Ephesians 5:26
Thank you for sharing this principle. I remember when there was a time I begged the Lord to help me be planted on good soil. I didn’t want to be the one again that only lasted a short time and had no root when trouble or persecution came. I say βagainβ because after He restored my marriage the first time in 2003, the worry of the world and trials hardened my heart and I became very bitter. The scripture βBut his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospersβ showed me how this could be preventedβ¦by meditating on His Word day and night.
