When I read the lesson from "Restore Your Relationships" - Chapter 7, I learned that if our cross feels too heavy to bear, there are burdens on our cross that we put there, wow that was such a big revelation for me, read it again, BURDENS WE PUT THERE OURSELVES! I now understand why my cross sometimes felt too heavy to bear and I have to admit, yes those were burdens I put there myself instead of just giving it all to my Heavenly Husband.
It was incredibly painful for me when my earthly husband and then later my son rejected me years ago and with this lesson I learned that it doesn't have to be like that and that we must then tell the Lord that He is all we want and all we need until we feel it in our heart. And I can testify that the moment we feel it in our heart, then our circumstances cannot simply bring us down, it is life changing to fall in love with our Darling Lord.
Precious bride does your cross feel too heavy to bear... then make sure you haven't put burdens on it yourself!
Please read the following passages taken out of Chapter 7:
Being rejected by your husband or son or daughter can be very painful, but it doesnβt have to be. Just begin to tell the Lord that He is all you want and all you need until that is the way you feel in your heart. I promise that very soon you will no longer feel any pain, but instead your heart will burst with joy at your newfound Love! If you want to learn more about this kind of intimacy with the Lord, be sure to read the two Abundant Life books available on our website.
Lighten your cross tremendously by taking off any βworks of the flesh.β The flesh will wear you out and break you down. Let go of all the problems you are facing, pursue the Lord and let God restore your relationship. Use this time to fall in love with the Lord with a passion! If your cross feels too heavy to bear, there are burdens on your cross that you have put there. He does not lie and He has promised that He wouldnβt give us more than we could bear! βTake My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your soul. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is lightβ (Matt. 11:29β30).
Thank you Janine!! Because yes sometimes those burdens, that cross is too heavy to bear, the hurt the pain and the things we suffer through, difficulties and trials but dont need to… because we carry it on our own and dont give it to Him… And wait on Him.. While we work on our intimacy with Him….
Im so glad you shared the passage especially the scripture at the end because yesterday l read it with my kids and l could explain to them about oxen how they carried the heavy loads and how He wants us to take his yoke that is light and easy π·
Yes precious Atarah, we don’t have to carry the burden, He wants to lovingly do it for us.
Janine thank you for this reminder. I have been carrying burdens today, your post has reminded me to take deep breaths and give it to my Beloved.
Dear precious Hope, this lesson also remined me again to stop carrying burdens, that my Darling Husband is any way more capable of sorting out.
