What Should I Do, Love?

Your HH is HERE, right next to you!

There is no doubt that our Heavenly Husband is beside me at all times!

I was in a rush to complete several errands before I had to get on the road to travel SEVEN hours to visit my oldest daughter. She has had a difficult pregnancy so far, and her husband is deployed. She is alone, in a small town, far from family and friends. I hopped in my car, only to hear that awful grinding sound of the car not starting. I was a bit confused by it, as my car is only 3.5 years old and had never given me trouble, but then I remembered that that is sometimes the battery life of a new car. UGH!

In the past, I know I would have immediately begun to fret and fuss. I would have called my EH and asked him what to do. Now, though, I don't have an EH. BUT...I have a HH!! So, I stopped and just sat. "What should I do, Love?" Then "Look behind you," came clearly to mind.

I looked behind my car, and there was my neighbor walking toward me. He's a retired car salesman and he knows MUCH about vehicles. "Try it again," he said. I did, then he told me to sit tight, and he jogged to his car and brought out a car battery starter. He had hooked up to my car and had my battery started in less than 2 minutes! He told me that it was probably time for a new battery. I called the dealer, and they had time in 1 hour to squeeze me in.

I did not even have to ask! Not only that but when I got to the dealer, I had a free oil change coupon in my file AND the service manager had my car washed for me. PLUS, batteries were on sale--that was the last day of the sale! If my battery had not died, I would have paid more for a battery later! πŸ™‚

Everything was efficient and within a couple of hours my errands were done AND I was on the road--with clean oil and a NEW battery/tires checked for inflation levels and other safety checks. They even upped my wiper washer fluid level, which helped when my daughter and I ended up in an area where the grass fires were putting dust all over the windshield! πŸ™‚

Remember, Matthew 7:13-14 tells us to β€œEnter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it. For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it.”

And Psalm 100:4 tells us HOW to Enterβ€” β€œEnter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name.”
