β Today's Promise: βThis is what the LORD says: "Restrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for your work will be rewarded," declares the LORD. "They will return from the land of the enemyβ. Jeremiah 31:17
I would like to share with my fellow sisters/brides that yes indeed, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE with HIM!
In our family, there are at least 6 people that He has delivered from alcohol and drug addiction.
Our most recent is my older sister. It's been over 19 years since she has been sober. She lost her husband in 2000 to another woman and her children soon after.
Another sister of mine and my mother finally called me to get some advice about 2 years ago and I told them that we have to let it increase and get out of His way., (They kept getting into arguments with my non sober sister about the situation-because they were desperate to see her stop the madness) I told my mother that God sees what is happening and as we pray and believe, we will see Him work it out.
So, through finally being caught drunk driving a couple of times, and the humiliation of having something installed on her car to get it to start (Proving she was sober driving), He finally did it.
She is now clean for over a year and I have been gingerly sharing with her about being the Lord's Bride, How He is crazy about her. She is slowly returning to Him and spending a lot of time talking to Him and writing down everything.
I just wanted to share this with any other mother, daughter, sister, aunt or friend who may be wondering whether God can do this.
You may feel alone and abandoned and blaming yourself or others. But you and I both know that this will get you no-where.
Go into your prayer closet, shut the door and give it all to Him. Every tear you cry every thought or worry.
Give the battle to Him. He loves them more than we do.
