An Easy and Organized Way

Dear Brides, I know it seems like laundry would be common sense but this Chapter 15 Making the Most of Clothing really helps to answer all the questions you may have never even thought to ask.

“She looks well to the way of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness” Proverbs 31:27

This was a great chapter. I didn't grow up learning how to keep a clean and organized home. As kids, our laundry room consisted of piles of dirty clothes and our closets were not organized. As a teenager, I began doing my own laundry out of the sheer selfish desire to have clean clothes but overlooked the mountain of clothes from my siblings. I didn't even think about helping them with their laundry.

I loved how this Chapter 15 Making the Most of Clothing helped to break down how to clean laundry in an easy and organized way. At this point, it is only my daughter and myself so we don't have a lot of laundry. We actually have an overabundance of clothes so we can go a couple of weeks without having to wash. This is both a blessing and a curse because I often would wait until I needed to do laundry which would cause me to become overwhelmed with having to put away a large amount of clothes. I can see how easily women can fall into the trap of only washing when they have to and easily become burdened. I will be not be waiting until I have a large amount of clothes before washing. I will be more likely to put the clothes away quickly if only a small amount of laundry. It won't seem like such a daunting task.

I struggle with letting go of more clothes. Even though I have already let go of so much stuff with the preparation of selling my home I know there is still so much more to relinquish.

Lord, I ask that you help me to maintain a clean home. You have helped me with decluttering my home but I need your help to go further and organize all of my drawers. I long to grow even closer to You. Help me to live my life according to your will.

I highly encourage every young woman and married woman to read this book. There is so much good insight on how to run a clean and well-maintained home. It is something that many of our homes are lacking. I can't even tell you how many compliments I have received recently on how clean my home is.
