โ Today's Promise: "You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you." Isaiah 26:3
~ Liora in Texas
Today I wanted to tell you ladies how the Lord always makes a way even when there seems to be no way. He literally makes me lie down or sit still when He knows that I need it! We all know that sometimes we can get so preoccupied with the things that we must do on a daily basis and sometimes we can get overwhelmed or feel like we donโt have enough time. But there should always be time for Him because He will help us to manage our time when we put Him first before anyone and anything else.
There are some days where I have so many things to do for the ministry, chores around the house, errands to run for myself or go help my dad. Every morning I spend time with my Heavenly Husband when I wake up but there are times when I know that I just need more time with Him. I can feel it in my soul. Then the thoughts come to my mind, โokay i'll stop in a little bit and talk with Him or i'll take a break in a momentโ and then that moment never comes and I can feel my spirit needs Him!
Like I said at the beginning of my praise report, He will MAKE a way when there seems to be no way or when me and my mind won't stop and be still with Him. This is how I believe He does it, sometimes when I know I need to spend more time with Him and Iโm busy, the internet will go out so I can't work, everyone leaves the house so there is no one to talk to or even my phone will not pick up calls or make calls. That is when I know that He is calling me to be with Him. I need to remind myself that when I feel that my spirit needs more of Him, that is His way of alluring me to Him, He wants to talk to me, spend time with me and love me like only He can. Nothing else is as important as that special time with Him, He will make everything else I have to do work out and fall into place.
Just remind yourself ladies that when you feel it in your soul that yearning for Him so deep, He is calling you to come, calling you to listen. He wants to spend time with you, loving you, guiding you and restoring you. Peace, love and a sense of calmness will overtake you.
This reminds me so much of the story of when the Lord went to Martha and Maryโs home. Martha was busy working in the kitchen while Mary wanted to worship at His feet. Part of me wants to be Mary and sit at His feet and the other part of me wants to be Martha because there is so much to do! How do I choose the better part like Mary when there is so much to do? I think sometimes I can struggle when work, daily life and spending time with Him collide but it is a choice that each one of us has, and Mary chose the better part. There is an intimacy that the Lord invites us to share, He invites us to know Him, to see Him so clearly. Next time you feel that deep yearning within for Him, stop and sit at His feet or sit in His lap because โfew things are needed - or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from herโ. Luke 10:42
"You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you." Isaiah 26:3
"Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always." 1 Chronicles 16:11
"Then I will say to them in plain words, โI never knew you. Go away from Me, you who do wrong!'" Matthew 7:23
There are dangers to not making time for the Lord, we must always put Him first.
