"Let them praise his name with dancing, making melody to him with tambourine and lyre!" Psalm 149:3
Last week my Beloved Husband led me to just praise Him in all circumstances, not to ask for anything, but to thank Him for everything because I already have everything (because I have Him!).
This week He led me to do the same, but to also start my day by dancing with and before Him to our Love โค๏ธ Songs. O WOW, what a difference this makes in your day!! Just spending that time adoring your Beloved and feeling His love surrounding you!
I have done this before, but starting my day dancing with Him, each day, just elevated my time with Him so much more and it makes my heart soar with love for Him!
Before my journey started I would have though this is crazy, dancing and singing before the Lord? Coming from a very strict church background, this would have been something frowned upon!
"Let them praise his name with dancing, making melody to him with tambourine and lyre! For theย Lord takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with salvation." Psalm 149:3-4
It also reminds me of one of my favorite lessons: Chapter 3 โThe Love of My Lifeโ, which is the Book Club lesson for today (NarrowRoad Book Club โ Finding the Abundant Life Chapter 3). I want to share two sentences from this lesson that really spoke to my heart:
"You have a special Someone who will cherish and love you, and give you every desire of your heart and if you have enough of Him, you will never experience that pain of rejection or longing again.
The One I am speaking about is right now on bended knee with a proposal on His lips! He does not want you to be His wife, He longs for you to be His Brideโforever!!"
Thank you for sharing precious Adina, this just puts a huge smile on my face and that is so special. My Darling has also been leading me for a few months now just to thank Him in all circumstances.
After you shared that you came from a strict church background it reminded me of how I always thought we must be on our knees crying and begging before the Lord because in my mind He was always up in heaven, but wow He is right next to me and I was reminded about that fact in Living Lesson 53 – https://loveatlast.org/living-lessons/week-53-living-with-unending-mercies-2/
“Do you long for Him? Do you long to cuddle up on your sofa or cozy chair with your cup of coffee or tea each morning just to talk to Him as you begin your day? Or is He โwaiting on highโ to show you compassion because youโre still begging for mercy and crying for forgiveness at His feet? Do you not see the basket of His fruits, spiritual fruits, waiting for you at His breakfast tableโall prepared for you to feast onโeach and every single morning?”
I can relate so much to what you shared Janine. I remember sitting in church as a child and forming this picture in my head of God sitting on His throne, just waiting for us to do something wrong to punish us! Although I always believed in the Lord, there was always that underlying fear. I never thought that He is LOVE, GRACE, COMPASSION and KINDNESS! But once you actually experience His love and grace, it changes everything! I love the piece you shared from the LL!
Adina this is the second time this week I have heard that someone is not asking Him for anything, just going to praise Him for everything. I love this.๐ Also one of my favorite parts from the chapter that brings joy to my heart every time I read it is “He does not want you to be His wife, He longs for you to be His Brideโforever!!”
Love this!! When we start our day with Him, just singing, praising, and thanking, our lives change!
All fear, sorrow, and shame disappear and open our hearts for an over flow of blessings and peace!
We are never alone, we are deeply loved and cared for.
Starting our day with Him always gives us the strength to face whatever comes, because we know who He is, and what He can do!
Yupiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, this lighted my day!
Beautiful! It’s funny, a few months ago I would have thought this to be strange too, but I know can see how wonderful this is!! My heart is so happy for you, to be dancing like that. I want to ask Him to help me in this now! Thank you very much for sharing.
