"But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him." Romans 5:8
How many times is the word LOVE mentioned in the Bible? I'd say it's endless, because His love for us is endless! The love we receive from our Beloved Lord spills over into the lives of those around us. With this being said, I have questioned this so many times, how can I still love my spouse after all the pain, facing a divorce and then He shows me: love them anyway.
I'd like to share some of my favourite verses with you:
"But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him." Romans 5:8
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. [5] It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away." 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NIV

Go and spread love wherever you go!
Thank you for sharing precious Elora, I felt the same and it is only with our Darling Lord’s help and grace that I can feel love for them. I will never forget when I was at the Wise Women’s Retreat in Cape Town, sitting in front of the water and saying to the Lord I even struggle to forgive my spouse after he did it again and again to me and honestly I don’t feel he even deserves my forgiveness but that I want to do it for Him the Lord and He said to me I must ask Him to help me and He did and it was only Him that could soften my heart to the extent of love and not just forgiveness. It shows us apart from Him we can do nothing.
Thank you for sharing some of your favorite verses.
Thank you Elora, I was just asking Him, what song we can post for this Friday’s love song and you just inspired me on which one we will post. Thank you for sharing and yes, His love is never-ending. One of my favourite verses is:
βI have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”

Thank you dear Elora, loving the unlovable was not something that came easy to me, it took going on a forgiveness journey with my Beloved Lord to get to a point where I can treat and see others in a understanding way. My Beloved just reminded me of this Living Lesson:

Elora, thank you for sharing. It reminds me that this is not the love that the world talks about, or the songs are an empty love, which sometimes seems more like people manipulate. The Love of Our Lord is the one that is always given No matter what evil they have done to us, a pure love that does not change and that He gives it to us because He Himself is true love.
Dear Elora, thank you for sharing this reminder about love.
“We love because God first loved us. If we say we love God, but hate others, we are liars. For we cannot love God, whom we have not seen, if we do not love others, whom we have seen. The command that our HH has given us is this: whoever loves God must love others also.” 1 John 4:19-21
Sometimes I have disappointing thoughts about the unpleasant things I experienced with my former husband. Yes, how could I forgive someone who hurt me so much. Someone who once told me he loves me. Most certainly I had trouble loving. But what is impossible for me is possible for my Beloved. In addition, it has helped me to realize, just like my Lord, that others who do not have our Lord in their lives, we cannot expect them to give us unconditional love. Only our Lord can do that, so much so that we will automatically pass it on. What someone else does to us every time. How I rejoice in the wonderful grace that is available to me every day.
Now that I have my Heavenly Beloved in my life, I can love the people around me every day. That is not my love but HIS π
