Last week I listened to what Adina shared on Love@Last about When Do I Give Up from Living the Abundant Life and Erin's comment:
That giving up is her favorite thing to do, because then her Heavenly Husband is right there to pick it up, fix it, and unravel it. Adina's podcast and Erin's comment touched my heart so much, so please listen to my Coffee Chat Part 1 where I share more about my own experiences of giving up.
At the Home of Martha and Mary
As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lordโs feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, โLord, donโt you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!โ
โMartha, Martha,โ the Lord answered, โyou are worried and upset about many things, but few things are neededโor indeed only one.[a] Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.โ L10:3842
And this week my Darling send a lady that felt discouraged to me and I just had to tell her about giving up and surrendering, but the moment I mentioned the words to give up she didn't understand and my Darling gave me a beautiful comparison to explain it to her and I just have to share it, so please also listen to part 2.
Delightful Janine! Even though Iโve already finish my coffee โ๏ธ earlier because my husband and I love to do it before anything else, He encouraged me to not rush off to do the long list of prep work for the day. Instead, I listen to both your podcasts and enjoyed hearing the praise and also the example, a โword pictureโ as my darling friend Melanie (from Course 1) so often asked me to share.
May I also say, I absolutely love your theme Coffee Chat. Iโve been asking my husband on numerous occasions about having an outlet like this because throughout every day, we talk about a dozen wonderful insights I am bursting to share with brides like you and the rest of our ministers. As I was voice typing, that last sentence, he reminded me of how busy I am, which is the same for a loss every one of us.
The bottom line is this, unless itโs him, my husband, who has something he wants me to say, I simply remain quiet. Gone are the days where I tried to do it keep on MY schedule, MY check off list. Living the abundant life means giving up on all of this and letting him take over. ๐๐๐๐
Thank you so very much for your comment dear Erin. It was all my Darling that led me to do coffee chats in Afrikaans and English and I said it with one of my previous coffee chats I realized it was my Darling that is also using the coffee chats to bring healing to me, I just love what He does. And it’s so wonderful, I will have this schedule planned and then He says no post this. And if He leads you please do coffee chat for the Afrikaans, all the Afrikaans women understand English.
I enjoy listening to your podcasts Janine ๐ Erin is right. Just let it go, give up, and surrender it to the Lord.
Iโm back. Not โplanningโ to do any posting this morning. However, the moment I saw an all caps GIVE UP AND SURRENDER itโs exactly what I knew. I needed to do after, once again, there were ministers who were waiting for their post to be approved. God knows how many times Iโve shared https://encouragingwomen.org/hope-encouragement/#comment-2886 nevertheless it is never ending. Why oh why didnโt I just GIVE UP sooner?!?! ๐ Time to laugh it off https://loveatlast.org/living-lessons/week-66-laugh-it-off/ knowing if this is what HE WANTS Heโll make it happen. ๐ฅฐ Now I can focus on honeymooning with my Love ๐
Hi Erin, for some reason it will not allow me to approve my own post for EW only H@L. Iโd like to get able to though. ๐
