Please read this amazing praise from Janine in South Africa:
I just want to give God all the glory and all the honor!!!
This morning I was talking to a lady at my work place and she said she will never forget how I told her a few years ago that she shouldn’t just talk about something lightly, because at that stage she really wanted a baby and when someone asked her when she was going to get pregnant, she replied that it probably wasn’t meant for her (because she was struggling to get pregnant and it was easy to make people quiet with those words). Our Great Almighty Father led me to teach her that our words have power.
Proverbs 18:21 (NLT) New Living Translation
The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.
I had told her to talk positive and that I believed that our Heavenly Father also wanted to bless her with the privilege to be a mother. She said that from that day she stopped saying that it was maybe not meant for her to be a mother and not long after that she became pregnant and today she has has lovely boy. She got tears in her eyes when she told me today and immediately I felt that God was reminding me to be careful with my words. Yes we become discouraged because the enemy wants us to feel discouraged but we must keep our eyes on our Heavenly Father.
I am so incredibly grateful to our Great Heavenly Father who reminds me and the fact that He does not leave us is the greatest testimony.
I am so glad that He used you to encourage this woman Janine and how just by doing something so simple… Reminding another of the power of our words could make such a difference and cause a baby boy to be born!! Now that is amazing! There is power in our tongue and the words we speak. May the Lord help each of us as encouraging women to never miss the opportunity to speak life!!
Thank you for encouraging me this morning Janine. Yes, so true, I certainly don’t think of every word that comes out of my mouth. Thank you for reminding me, that this is so important. What a blessing a baby boy!
I was also reminded of the poverty mentality. When my children asked me for something I used to say, we cannot afford it, or we don’t have money for it after reading that chapter, I changed it by asking my children to pray about it and see if they really need it and then we can buy it. I cannot remember which chapter, but the whole Poverty Mentality is worth reading: https://loveatlast.org
