He brings the Future and the Past Together

I enjoy my Psalms and Proverbs so much. I have been reading them for years now and still, I come upon verses as if for the first time:)

So, I asked the Lord to please help my children love them just as much, but they are still so young, how will I get the message across to them? And He has answered my prayer even before I prayed it:)

My FH takes the children to church when they visit him on weekends and he asked me if he can have them baptized, this was a year ago. We never got our children baptized because we were too busy living in the world and we did not believe the Lord to be real at that time. At first, I wanted to feel jealous that he will go to church when he was the one arguing that the bible is not real, but the Lord showed me that I should keep quiet and just say yes. So, I agreed and they were baptized, not with me there and for a second it stung, but my Love took care of that as well as He always does:)

Had I not kept quiet, I would have missed out on a blessing even before I prayed for it. This is the most amazing part of all. How He brings the future and the past together as if there is no time in between at all!

The church gave each of them a children’s bible and as they now outgrew their previous children’s bible, we moved on to reading this one every night. We came upon a piece with all the favouriteย  Psalms and they have it so nicely set out that my daughter just fell in love with it. She reads it so regularly. They also have theย Proverbs and my daughter told me how she can see that she does not always do what the Lord wants her to do. But Lord, what about my son, he said nothing?

We had our winter holiday and the kids went back to school and my son came home with homework in his Afrikaans class. They have to do a prepared reading. And they have to prepare Psalms 1-4. What??? This is a public school and the teacher is asking them to prepare Psalms 1-4??? Oh Lord, it can be no-one else but You! So every day we read one Psalm and my son says that he loves it!!!

Now, this has opened the door for me to talk to my children about the Psalms and how it uplifts you when you are feeling down. As always with my Heavenly Husband, He does not just do what you ask, He always does more to show you just how much He really loves you.

Last night we started reading the Sermon on the Mount. Oh wow, the way this bible explains it to my children. It is just so amazing and easy to understand. I love it! Just when I think my cup cannot overflow anymore, He shows me that He can always make room for new blessings!!!

Proverbs 22:6 (KJV) “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Matthew 19:14 (NIV) Jesus said, โ€œLet the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.โ€

When I first started my restoration journey, the Lord gave me this verse: Isaiah 40:11 (NIV) “He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.”

And He has been proving this verse true ever since He gave it to me:):):)
