♕ Today's Promise: “But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the LORD’s victory. He is with you, O people of Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Go out against them tomorrow, for the LORD is with you!” 2 Chronicles 20:17
I am back with the next installment of how the Lord is working miracles in my life and how He wants to do it for each of you. And all you need to do is trust Him with EVERY aspect of your life. I know I make this sound very easy and I know it is not, but it is certainly worth it!
You remember last week I spoke about the email I sent and afterward regretted it. If you have not, you can go back and read my Praise Report from last week before coming back to this one.
A few days after I sent the email, my Former Husband phoned me while he was at home with his wife. Which means that this call was from both of them. Immediately I assumed that I was in trouble and my head immediately went to “I will not fear evil tidings, my heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord”.
What he said was this: “what are your suggestions for how we can homeschool the children better?” I was expecting evil tidings and here both of them are asking my opinion?!? What?!? My dear Heavenly Husband, You know this is actually You they are asking, when they ask me. Because of course I went to Him and asked Him how I can home-school my children and make sure they have what they need. And He gave me a few ideas.
After I was able to find my voice again, I gave him a few suggestions and he thanked me. Later when he was alone, he phoned me telling me that he is considering bringing the children back earlier so I can homeschool them and he is also considering having them come over on weekends only because they are not coping with the home-schooling. Again, I was floored, but in the end, he did not bring them back earlier and still I rejoiced in the Lord, know that He has it all planned out perfectly!!!
Let me tell you, ladies, every time my children did not come back as expected and I trusted that my Loving Lord has it all under control and I got excited with spending another week alone with Him, He did something unexpected. Each of those times my former husband would stop by quickly for coffee and we would be able to spend some time chatting.
One of those times he told me that he left to be happy and here I turned out to be the happy one.???? We have not had a conversation in person where his eyes would not tear up and he is not an emotional person at all, but it is only the Lord showing me that He is fighting on my behalf, but only if I stand still and watch His awesomeness from afar and not try to get myself involved in the fight.
And will you believe that while I was going through all this I was happening to read Chronicles in the bible?
In 2 Chronicles 20:17 God tells Judah: “But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the LORD’s victory. He is with you, O people of Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Go out against them tomorrow, for the LORD is with you!”
But they went even further and I still believe that the Lord would have given them victory if they just stood in silence, but they did, even more, they started singing and praising the Lord and when the enemy was defeated it took them 3 days to gather all the spoils of the victory. Not one enemy was left standing.
It says there was more treasure than they could carry and in my opinion, when thinking about this, I do believe that this was because they were singing and praising God while He was doing all the fighting.
