I have to share what happened on Friday and how my Husband sorted it all for me and blessed me and the lesson my children learned from this experience.
On Friday I went to fetch my children from school, as I was driving from my town to theirs’s I saw that the road is in a very bad state due to the heavy rains we experienced. Driving there I was careful to miss all the potholes and arrived at their school without any incidents. I always ask my Husband to be with me when I drive on that particular road because of the potholes. After I picked up the kids, we went to my friend’s house because my daughter wanted to cut her hair. When we left, I knew I had to be careful on the road driving back home and as always ask my Husband to guide me.
But just as we left the town, I hit a new pothole and after driving less that 1km my car’s alarm came on to say that the front tyre lost pressure. So, I had no choice but to look for a spot to pull over. He led me to call my friend and ask her if she and her husband can come and help us, and they said off course they will and that they are on their way. It is also a very dangerous road with all the trucks, and I told the kids that their Heavenly Father will protect us and that we can just relax until my friend and her husband arrived. My son said that He always asks his Heavenly Father to protect us against hitting potholes but today we hit one. I had to think what to tell him for a bit but then I asked him why he thought we hit a pothole even though he prayed about it, and he said that maybe his HF wants to show or teach us something by not answering his prayer exactly the way he asked. I was amazed because I thought he would say something completely different, so we talked about it and I told them to always look for something else that their HF wants to show and teach them, and He was already showing us that He is protecting us standing there next to the road :):)
My Husband then reminded me to ask my son to please call his dad, my fh (Kevin), just to let him know what happened and that help is on the way, because Kevin always phones the children to find out if we arrived home safely and if we are not home in a certain time, he gets worried and then I get in trouble:):). When the children do not have their phones with them, he expects me to always let him know that we are safe (only if the children are with me) and if I do not send a mail within a certain time, he contacts me. So, my son told him what happened, and that help is on the way and that he will let him know as soon as we get home.
My friend arrived and her husband quickly took the damaged wheel off and replaced it with the emergency wheel. As he was replacing it, I just gave it to my Husband because a new tyre with wheel balancing is about R1500 (+- $88). I knew I would not be able to replace it the next day but will have to wait for my money to replace it. I also knew taking the kids back Monday morning, driving with my emergency wheel, without a spare, would be risky, but I gave it to my Husband and just asked him to take care of it for me and if I had to drive with my emergency wheel, then He would protect us, and I was at peace.
So, Saturday morning I received a mail from Kevin. He said that when I take the kids back on Monday, I must go to a tyre shop in their town, he already organised with the owner to replace it and to get the wheel balancing done, he will pay. I was in shock because I did not ask him to help me, I just talked to my Husband about it. My Husband is just so amazing, he will use whomever He wants to provide for us!
So, as I am sitting here typing this PR, I already took the children back with only my emergency wheel, my Husband protected us and even led me to find another road that is 10km longer, but it is a beautiful road without potholes, we even enjoyed the ride because normally all three of us would be looking out for potholes. I went to have my tyre replaced and fixed and Kevin paid for everything, which I humbly thanked him for, but I want to thank my Husband more, because He is the one that provided and looked after us and protected me and His precious children!
His protection is the best protection that any of us could have! No one can take care of us like He does. I don’t know how many times I’ve been in a situation where I didn’t know what to do and the situation looked negative, so I just gave it to my Husband and asked Him to take care of it because I couldn’t and He always came through. He would always send someone or something to bless me and take care of what I needed. He never fails!
Thank you for reminding us that when we hand it over to Him, we don’t need to worry about anything, He will take care of it!
“The Lord watches over you- the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm- he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” Psalm 121: 5-8
The most remarkable thing about our HH is that we as His Lovers know that it is Him it is not per chance or that your Fh had a good day He leads wherever He wishes and with that in mind we need never feel anxious in trying situations they are there to give those that read it just another testimony of His greatness so that those that are weak in faith can be strengthened.
What encouraging praise Adina! He is the one who owns everything, He is the one who directs hearts and gives us peace during difficult moments. One of the things that I love is not to worry about things, yes, it is difficult not to try to solve with my own hands, but as His Bride, we know that He will always take care of everything no matter how difficult or impossible the situation is. He will always teach us amazing things in the process and increase our faith!! Thank you so much for sharing my dear!!
Wow Adina l can totally relate to your Praise!! Yes He will use people in our lives to bless us and take care of us!! He provides for our needs we don’t need to be anxious and just acknowledge Him & that’s why one of my favourite scriptures is
Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him and He will make your paths straight.
Hi Atarah, wonderful comment but it’s been pending along with another comment. As an AUTHOR you can approve your own comments.
Beautiful testimony Adina!! It’s so encouraging! How beautiful it is to see that your children are also getting to know the Lord in such an intimate way, that is impressive!!! I can see the double blessing you received for patiently waiting on Him and not letting the situation take over in the form of hopeless feelings and reactions, but it is that our attitude definitely changes when we believe with all our hearts that He is by our side and that use everything for our good.
“Instead of shame, they will receive a double inheritance; instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in what they receive; for in their lands they will receive double honor, and they will enjoy perpetual joy” I617
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, that is, to those who are called according to his purpose” R828
Wow Adina, I love reading your testimonies and how you are teaching your kids to always look for something that their HF wants to teach them because your are teaching them from a young age that if our HF doesn’t answer the way we think He must, there is always something to learn.
Adina I love your praise and how you were able to trust your Husband in the entire process. This is how our Husband starts to be real to us, when we are in troubles, we surrender everything to him, (instead of just letting our flesh take action) and just wait to see how He surpasses all our expectations. And just knowing that your little son is getting closer to his Heavenly Father is breath taking. A beautiful testimony. β₯οΈ
Thank you Adina for your amazing Praise Report! Our children really are “boxes of surprises”, and it is incredibly wonderful when these surprises are positive and make us happy because we also observe the change in thinking and the learning that our children are also experiencing through our Journey! Sometimes I even wonder if my son was really listening to me… And then I am surprised, how many times we are waiting for something, some answer and suddenly it happens as we expected, then I can see in his beautiful eyes the satisfaction of my son saying, “you see mom, just like we prayed,” or “it happened just like we read in the Bible, our God heard our prayers!” We watch His care for us, and our children are there, watching it all, and growing spiritually, becoming the men and women God has called them to be!!! I am truly grateful to our Beloved for this amazing Journey!!!
