I did many lessons this week and could not find the lesson I felt the Lord wanted me to share about. He did make me read all the lessons to help me this week. He guided me this morning about what I should share with you.
I want to be saved. I really wanted to quit smoking when I found my Heavenly Husband and when I came to RMI. My Beloved Husband was patient and full of love with me.
I make the decision that I want to quit now. So time moved on and as my Beloved Heavenly Man worked in me I wanted to stop smoking more and more.
The Lord used 2 dearest women to encourage me as He led them. 1st dearest women has sent me. #10. Testimonies of Healing from Addictions!! , which I then read and every verse that spoke to me, I wrote down and put the paper on the fridge where I can see it all the time. I wanted to quit smoking more and more. I did smoke less, but I continued to struggle to quit completely. Week after week it went like this.
So the 2nd dearest woman tells me it takes 21 days to unlearn a bad habit. And there the Lord continued to work in me. He led me to buy a book and colored pens.
February 7. The Lord leads me to take my book and colored pens and bible and write day 1, and the bible verses he gives me, I write down. The sentences and words that He spoke to me, I underlined or wrote in colored writing.
There were mornings that I just sat all morning and read the bible and wrote down the verses as He led me. So the Lord helped me to climb over the mountain. Yes, it was not a mountain to move, but my mountain that I had to climb over. Today I am one month clean from smoking and I can only thank the Lord for freeing me. He is my strength when I am weak. The Lord's name gets all the glory.
Here are verses and promises the Lord gave me:
βEven now,β declares the Lord, βreturn to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.βββJ2:12
ββCreate in me a clean heart, O God;And renew a right spirit within me.P51:10

And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. E36:25-27
He rescues and he saves; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.βββD6:27
But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.L5:16
βLook at the nations and watchβ and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.ββH1:5

My dear Kristy thank you so much for sharing your journey and how He led you through the process of quitting. I can only imagine how difficult it must have been during the first days, but HE’s strength is perfected in our weakness. Thank you for sharing all the beautiful verses with us!
Precious Kristy thank you for sharing this beautiful testimony as well as all these beautiful promises, our Darling Lord is so wonderful and I am so grateful that He set you free from smoking, He is really the Best ever!
How wonderful Kristy! I know how hard it can be. I was a smoker for many years and have been free from it for 10 years now. I remember He told me that when anything bad happened, for example, stubbing my toe, or having a tummy ache or headache to tell myself that it was the cigarettes fault. π So I would mentally start to loathe them. I also prayed His word constantly. Iβm so happy for you. π₯°
