♕ Today's Promise: "Did you know that God’s miracles are usually formed in secret? “My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret” Psalm 139:15
Dear Brides, I think you're really going to enjoy this Chapter 4 "Where Did I Go Wrong?" The best news was that your waiting is only temporary and may even be dead, on purpose! But He does it so that He will get alllll the praise and a powerful testimony to others!
So when He heard that he was sick, He then stayed two days longer in the place where He was... So when Jesus came, He found that he had already been in the tomb four days... Therefore, when Mary came where Jesus was, she saw Him, and fell at His feet, saying to Him, ‘Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.’... Jesus said to her, ‘Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?’” (John 11:6, 17, 32, 40).
It was only yesterday that I was speaking to my friend about the extreme importance and the reward in waiting! Though this Chapter 4 "Where Did I Go Wrong?" took it a step further by reminding us that sometimes He's late —on purpose!
Taking that miracle into an even greater miracle of actually raising from the dead!
What an encouraging verse and how good it is to know the reason why He's "late".
This was another question my friend had about my journey. She asked if I've had a lot of experience with patience and waiting?
It was so nice to be asked that and be able to tell her that yes, I have and it's the best thing that you could commit to! He asks us to wait on Him! I shared about my testimony of waiting for God's calling on my life (being behind the scenes administrative which I still loooove) to traveling in 2017, 2018 and 2019! 2019 being the Finding the Abundant Life tour! Explaining how He makes us wait so that when He does come through it's so beyond what we capable of achieving and more than what we could ever imagine only to prove to the world that it could ONLY be HIM.
“Walking down the street, Jesus saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked, ‘Rabbi, who sinned: this man or his parents, causing him to be born blind?’ Jesus said, ‘You’re asking the wrong question. You’re looking for someone to blame. There is no such cause-effect here. Look instead for what God can do’” (John 9:1–2 MSG).
And recently He's given me the opportunity to speak into young women's lives!! Just like this friend who only just now turned 21. I'm truly, truly blessed!
I'm taking the time to sow into these girls that I've met and their hearts have been opened to receive what He's laid on my heart to speak to them! I'm soooo grateful!!!
Thank you for how you've poured so much into me that I am literally overflowing! You've given me the strength to run towards my calling and I'm so excited about it! I'd been struggling with fear, but replacing it with Truth through scripture!! The only way to overcome.
I think you're really going to enjoy this book The Poverty Mentality. A chapter I particularly enjoyed was how your waiting is only temporary and may even be dead, purposefully, so that He can resurrect it! You then will be holding a POWERFUL testimony!
