I Ran After The Wrong One

"Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people."Β C3:23

Please read this part taken out of Finding The Abundant Life, Chapter 3 "The Love Of My Life"

When they are faithful to the Lord and keep running after HimΒ only, they will glow with the radiance of a new bride all their married lives! And that as long as they pursue the Lord, and not their husbands, their husbands will pursue them (but never overtaking them) for their hearts will be fixed on Jesus! And that if they turn their hearts toward their husbands, that their husbands will assuredly turn their hearts back to pursuing other things (the world, an OW, hobbies, outside friendships or work).

As I read this chapter, I realized how I had been chasing the wrong one's heart for year after year. It was incredibly important for me to get my husband's heart turned back to me, so much that it later became an obsession for me. And the more I wanted his heart, the more it became my biggest obstacle (because it is terrible to live with an obsession that I can compare to an addiction) and the less I got his heart turned back to me. It took me an incredibly long time to come to that realization, but also know that our precious Beloved Lord is using all my many mistakes for the good and His glory.

Precious woman I want to encourage you to run after the Lord, not for what you can get, don't make the mistakes I made. The author says that she believes that if women stop chasing men, that men will start to become uncomfortable and that what they pursue in the world will no longer have the same excitement.

Please also read this beautiful passage from the Chapter:

I also believe that once our precious Beloved knows that He has our hearts that He will happily begin turning the hearts of our men back to us, and they will be in hot pursuit of us! I have seen this happen in my own life, and in the lives of the ladies in our church who are beginning to grasp this powerful concept and to walk it out in their own lives!!

So precious woman I want to encourage you to give our Beloved Lord your whole heart.
