Dear Brides,
My praise thanks to the Lord today is for how He led and used Michele. Through what she has experienced and written in the Abundant Life series books, my life is constantly changing and thanks to that I stayed married to my husband and we are blessed with two beautiful girls and a third on the way.
I recently received an angry comment from a bride or bride-to-be asking if what is written in Finding the Abundant Life contradicts everything RMI (Restore Ministries International) teaches about marriage restoration. Specifically, that Michele did not want to marry her husband a second time. It was not the first time that this indignation got to me, and I know that many refuse to read these books at all because of it.
I have to admit that at the beginning, when I read it for the first time, I was also indignant and a little confused. But praise the Lord, it did not deter me from reading further, where it was all explained, and because of it, I too am learning and experiencing the Abundant Life. It's not at that level yet, without any pain and worry, with taking full advantage of situations of injustice towards me to get blessings from them, but the Lord is working hard on me, so I believe I will get there one day.
You see, my time of separation from my husband was very short and technically speaking we were restored after 2 and a half months. It wasn't because I'm so amazing and the Lord was able to change my heart so quickly, not at all. It's just that the Lord planned for me another way of my restoration with many difficulties and trials after our restoration.
Well, dear brides, I simply want to tell you, especially to all those who, because Michele didn't want to marry her husband a second time, judge her for it and maybe you don't want to continue in RMI anymore and you don't want to read the Abundant Life books anymore, that if it wasn't those books, I would have destroyed our restoration a long time ago myself, and I would have asked for a divorce because of the great pain I experienced after our restoration.
I think I am not the only one who experienced and is experiencing very difficult trials after the renewal and many times does not even want the restoration anymore, but thanks to the resources of the Abundant Life books, the Lord uses all this for my further good, teaching me how to really perceive Him as my Husband and live an Abundant Life here on earth. Something I have never heard before that God wants us to live like this here on earth.
So, dear brides, let's not judge, let's not condemn, let's not throw away those books when we don't like something, let's read on and even read: "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9
