When I started on my RJ I began to devour His word. At first, I may have not understood everything I read, but I was so persistent. It was the same with seeking His presence. At first, I did not feel anything, but I did not STOP and so soon it became magical, like nothing I had ever experienced. Well, that is what happened as I read His word daily. I clearly remember the day that as I read it no longer was just head knowledge, but was planted in my heart. It was like my eyes OPENED and I understood how TRUE His word was!!
When asked about what our HH wanted to tell me before I continued to read the remainder of the Living Lessons Week 21 “Sleeping in the Storms” was that He is always in control. Knowing that is always so comforting, but it is putting it into practice that can be difficult sometimes. That is why it is so important to have deep intimacy with Him because He is the only One that can calm us in the midst of the storm. Nothing and no one can do as He does.
Once I knew His word and I can truly BELIEVE it with my heart that is when I understood I must WALK in it. That meant that when I was going through a difficult time or a storm, I had to believe every word He told me before anything I saw, heard or felt. The battle usually always started in my mind and I thank Him for the Word he gave me early on and I would declare constantly because I knew if I could not beat it in my mind I was defeated:
We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5 NASB
When I grew that LOVE for HIM, I was willing to follow and it was not always easy and many times very difficult. But, there is no other place I wanted to be but in His will and All I wanted to do was show Him how much I loved Him and obeyed in every way I could. He showed me that being close to HIM, He could comfort me and guide me in all things. He is always faithful.
My Love, Today I want to give you all the glory because You have allowed me to be safe in Your arms and know what it is to be comforted and LOVED to amazingly that nothing can compare to it. Help me to always run to You so I can be calm in the storms and always be willing to follow You no matter where it is, even in the unknown. Trusting that what You have for us is ALWAYS better and for our GOOD.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.… Jeremiah 29:11-13 NASB
I encourage you to not stop seeking HIM and I know He is right there wanting and waiting to Hold you with arms of love to comfort you in whatever storm you may be going through. He will bring you Peace and JOY, yes JOY regardless of your circumstances.
