β Today's Promise: βDo not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evilβ. Proverbs 3:7
Dear brides, a few days ago I had a very pleasant experience which I would like to share with you today. Every time we read a lesson in class and finish our journals, there is a question about how we are going to apply this principle in our life and / or in my work.
Well, the principle I would like to talk about is to always ask the Lord for anything you want to do and let Him be the one to guide us to do or say. Due to vehicle restrictions in my country, I can't leave home much, so I take advantage of Wednesday to take my mom shopping. Last time I had to get her home quickly because I had to attend several work meetings at home. In the evening, she called me to thank me for some suggestions I had made regarding certain purchases and as it was already around 9 p.m., she asked me if I was working, and my answer was yes.
She said to me: "my daughter, I'm afraid you always work so late, I don't want you to get sick" but the following words came out of my mouth: "Mom, since I am working for the Lord, I let Him guide me, so I don't care if one day I work 16 hours or the next day I only work 2 hours. When he wants me to sleep, He makes me drowsy, when he wants me to work I do and when he wants me to rest he takes care of that. You can be calm, now I don't do anything with my strength, I let Him lead me" The conversation ended when she said, "you know my girl, I have to start asking Him more often, for my business."
For many years, I did everything in my power and of course I fell ill often, was tired or in a bad mood.
Think about it, if this is your case, you have the solution. Let Him guide you. Don't do anything without asking Him. Wait for Him to tell you what to do and how to do it. When you try, you will see how He will be the one who will fill your day with joy, and you will be amazed at everything you do.
