Living as His Bride is so exciting, He looks after us, spoils us and provides everything we need and desire in the most wonderful ways! This year my children will be with me over Christmas and New Year, last year they were with my fh and they went on holiday.
In my head π Christmas was still far away, somewhere in the near future …. or maybe my Husband just didn’t remind me because He wanted to provide in wonderful ways π But last weekend He did remind me that it is only a week away. I already bought all the presents I wanted to, and it is wrapped π, but I haven’t thought about what me and the children will do on Christmas eve or Christmas day, then my aunt (my godmother) invited us to her place on Christmas day for a big family celebration. I asked her what I should bring, and she said nothing (as she always does). She did mention that we are going to “braai” (barbeque) and have lots of cold salads because here in South Africa we celebrate Christmas in summer. She did mentioned that she must still go and buy a watermelon and other fruits to make fruit salad, and I told her to not worry about it, I will get it and make the salads.
Normally everything’s prices go up before Christmas, but my Husband led me to go to a small fruit and veg store and not the supermarket. I went there and got a huge watermelon and everything else I needed for half the prize I would have paid at the supermarket!
He also led me to a small shop that is quite hidden in our business centre, I went in and found branded toiletries at half price, just because the label or box is damaged. I was able to buy enough of everything to keep at my house for me and the children and buy extra to send to their dad’s place for them to use there.
He just led me so wonderfully to find all these small, hidden shops that asks half the supermarket’s prices, and He blessed me with so much of everything that I can give away as well.
But He also led me to just spend Christmas eve with my children, make something simple for dinner, and watch Christmas movies with lots of popcorn … just me, Him and the children … sounds like bliss to me πππ
