Left With the Short End of the Stick

Dear Brides, I just completed reading this lesson [Embracing the Poverty] and I feel a little teary having read the testimony at the end. The writer's daughter was blessed by her Heavenly Father. I am touched because this testimony speaks so clearly to me. Before I started reading I asked my HH (Heavenly Husband) to please speak to me through this lesson about my struggles and how I could apply it and... wow He sure did!!

For all of my married life I have always wanted to live in a home that is neat, modern, not old. We have always rented and for most of our married life it has always been in places where many, many people lived before us.

Daily when I look around at our furniture, decor, linen, curtains, my Heavenly Husband knows that my desire is for so much more.

Reading the testimony is really what touched me when the writer said that it was a desire of her heart to replace their old bunk beds with queen size beds and just how the Lord brought it about!! He did a total bedroom makeover for her daughter's bedroom!! Wow!!

I need a total makeover of my home and furnishings and this testimony has given me the faith to trust Him to work out every little detail! Because HE knows the desires of my heart and for my family \o/

I have been struggling with looking around at my home and having absolutely no idea where the finances would come from to make a start and with my lack of having the knowledge or know-how of how to decorate.

Now I have come to understand that even though my EH (earthly husband) has no interest in these endeavors, my HH (Heavenly Husband) is very, very much interested and just waiting to orchestrate every detail for me.

Funny thing is just this weekend we booked into an Airbnb which exceeded our expectations. It was furnished so beautifully, it was so neat and clean, the decor was so amazing that my EH (earthly husband) actually said that we need a place like this! Now I read this chapter... Mmmmm...

Seems like my HH is speaking to me, coincidence not!

I want to live out this principle by being reminded that even though I may see the wicked prosper and have everything that I ever wanted, that I can do what is right and trust my HH to bless me double!!

Dear Brides, if you struggle with looking around you and all you see is the wicked prosper and you are left with the short end of the stick and we all at times feel that we are always doing what is right but it seems that nothing is getting better or even getting worse... then I encourage you to come and read this Chapter [Embracing the Poverty] to be ENCOURAGED!!

We need to learn to embrace the poverty mentality. What I understood is that the wicked seem to always increase but we need to embrace the poverty in doing what is right so that the Lord will bless us through our obedience.
