While I was reading my friend Yvonne's first 5 chapters of her book, I thought it would be appropriate to write about the subject NOT A COINCIDENCE (if you understand Afrikaans, please go and listen to my first Afrikaans podcast)
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Yvonne and I worked together in the same building, but at that time we were not friends. I got promoted to another building and a few years later we both got promoted and started working the same day in the same building, but just in different departments. And when I would see Yvonne somewhere in the building, we would usually have a chat. At one point I asked my Heavenly Husband for a good friend, little did I know who it would be and that it would not be a coincidence what my Heavenly Husband planned and allowed to happen.
When I got a call from Yvonne asking if she could come and talk to me, I never thought in my wildest dreams that my Heavenly Husband would use the pain of my divorce to help someone else. She came to my office, closed the door and cried and told me about her marriage. Immediately I felt that I had to give her the book: How God Can and Will Restore Your Marriage. I can't even remember exactly where I got the book from, but what I know is that I was more than ever sure that my Heavenly Husband wanted me to give her the book. I got quite excited, not because of her pain, but that my pain had a purpose and was not just for nothing and that God was going to do something big and would use the book in her life. And little did I know at the time that she was the friend I had been praying for.
Up to this day God uses her past pain to help others and we are still friends, it was not a coincidence that we started working in the same building again and that we would chat and it was not a coincidence that we became friends.
In the midst of one's hurt, which usually feels like a storm when it just happens, one does not need to ask the whys and wherefores, just know that God allows the pain for a bigger reason and bigger purpose, just trust Him.
Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.
Hey Janine🤗 yesterday l tried to Login because l wanted to comment. My Afrikaans is so rusty but l need to dust it off hahaha!! l think l need to register again for the blog. It’s amazing how He brings us brides all together 😄 definitely NOT a coincidence!!

Janine I love reading what you wrote but I have to say I enjoyed hearing you and watching your video that you ultimately removed. I’d like to encourage you to upload it to YouTube and share it here because . I believe many would really enjoy it as much as I did. Yvonne is so loved and cherished amongst us all, and knowing for a long time that you were instrumental in bringing her here to us, I am, and will be forever grateful.

I agree with you Janine, there are no coincidences in our life. I had a friend in college that stopped seeing for more than 20 years and one day my Husband led me to her house, without me knowing her address. He made it possible, we got together without knowing why until she started to share about her separation, which I immediately knew it was His plan for her to get close to him. Years have passed know, 5 to be exact, our husbands refreshed our friendship through our journeys. Some would say this is a coincidence, but I know we that being friends as young ladies was His plan to encourage each other now.
