Painting a Kitchen

"Give and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.” Luke 6:18

I recently started working again and my little ones go stay with a friend during those times. Her kitchen was pretty run down from the last owner. last weekend she hosted a fellowship night at her home, and it was so lovely. Everyone shared what the Lord was doing in their lives and hearts and what verses He led us to.
Lots of food, laughter, singing and the children ran around laughing and have such a good time. It was a beautiful thing, to see my Love be enjoyed by so many brothers and sisters.
Well, my friend suggested we come and help the hostess friend clean her kitchen. We both love to clean. I was concerned about offending our friend by offering, but when we asked her, she was so excited!
She had mentioned a few months ago, she really wanted to paint it, because it was painted some very curious colors, from the previous owners, very dark and not so happy.

So, yesterday morning, I was able to pick up some white paint, bring my cleaning supplies and we all got to work.

Even the teenager girls pitched in and helped! There was so much peace, laughter and enjoyment.

We got the whole kitchen painted, except the cupboards, which we will be painting a beautiful beige this morning. My kids and I will get to go back and finish up. My friend also went through all of the kitchen items she hasn't used or doesn't regularly use, to cut down a clutter and give more space to organize better.
The best part was she didn't struggle with letting anything go. I know it's hard for some people to let things go, but she was willing.

Now she will have a beautifully bright happy kitchen to cook her precious family delicious meals. The kitchen is the heart of her home and it makes me so happy, to hear her say over and over how much she loves it, with a huge smile on her face.

I'm so grateful that my Love helped me, having the money to buy the paint, and also to have the physical strength, mobility to paint up high and move my body freely. It's a blessing truly. One I used to not even realize. So thank you my Love thank you!

  1. How beautiful. When He guides us to give, it is not only financial, but time, and our talents, which sometimes we don’t even know we have.
You have been a light for your friend.
May He continue to guide you to give with so much love, Raza.
