Hello ladies, I believe that many of you have seen the devastating news about the earthquake in Turkey. This country has been my home for more than 10 years now, and He has taught me how to love the people and immerse myself in the culture, giving me the heart to share His love and good news with those who never heard about Him.
My city in Turkey was one of the ten cities affected, it was unbelievable to hear and read all the news. Well, up until now I don’t even know the state of my building, and if I will be able to return to my home by the end of the month. But I just want to praise the Lord for keeping my family (my friends living also in Turkey) safe. We have all suffered loss, but it was only today that I began to see how much He had protected me and my friends.
I am in Brazil, I could not understand why He put the desire to return to my country even when I was still here in 2022 since tickets are very expensive. I also wanted to buy my tickets at a specific time, but could not, my sister wanted to return with me to visit, but that didn’t work as well, and she was pretty upset, but now we see why He didn’t allow it. Because I came to visit my parents, I need to have someone to take care of my cat, so my best friend’s in-laws stayed at my home with my cat, this way they could have a warm home and would enjoy their grandchildren. I cannot thank God enough, because we don’t even know if their house is standing. Their city is destroyed and the buildings that are still standing are so damaged that no one can return. But by His grace they are safe.
Sometimes we have no idea why He says NO, and sometimes we don’t understand why our plans do not work out. But today I just want to praise Him for His protection, His love, and for all the NOs He told me.

Thank you Sara, how amazing He provided for you and your friend’s family. When I heard about the earthquake, that was the first thing I thought about, His protection over you. I am so thankful you are okay and I pray for His protection over all your friends and loved ones in Turkey who I got to know through you. Things look so bleak now, but I know He will bring good out of this tragedy. His love will never fail.
Everyone—YES, GOD is going to do something amazing amidst the brokenness of the women, wives, mothers, and sisters. In the midst of their brokenness, MORE who are broken will come to find comfort IN HIM!!
It was just yesterday that we had a breakthrough that GOD saw fit to use the Turkish Ministry. Back up to 2 days ago when Sara officially became the LMF for the Turkish ministry as a MISSIONARY and then YESTERDAY— our breakthrough happened when we (Yvonne, Husband, and I) were able to purchase another domain to replace the EvliliginiKurtar.com “Save Your Marriage”…
How fitting that He had us purchase https://sonundaumutvar.com/ “hopeful at last,” and I was able to discuss more of how our blogs and ministries (especially the missionaries) will be posting just SHORT heartfelt personal posts—like simply talking to my sister (someone who you don’t assume is religious and knows any of our terms or principles). We want to see hearts exposed, compassionate, personal—no longer FORMAL posts.
Most of you had no idea that we have been locked out (and are still locked out since August) from doing anything with our domain names—but I sensed He had set us up to use if for GOOD—I just knew something spectacular was going to come from this.
I want to shout— it was SO EASY, so light, and nothing like doing it through where we used to purchase and register our other domains. Yvonne was there assuring me that we could “probably” undo anything I messed up hahaha. Actually, not always are we able to reverse course, but what is ALWAYS is Him using it for GOOD because He trusts me to move forward fearlessly, trusting HIM only!
This means that the project we began (but that abruptly stopped in August) purchasing new Names for our “Marriage Help” websites so we can focus on LOVE and ENCOURAGEMENT or HOPE—depending on what the LMF feels called to focus on.
Oh, and the other old domains? Well all the others will simply point to the new one AND we also discovered how to move the Security to the new domain name AND also include the new domain name so that we can provide multiple email accounts using the new domain name!!
Amazing!!! Love the new name for TUR!! Can wait for the other ones!!!
Oh dear Sara, I was asking my Beloved for more news about you, as I learned that you were here in Brazil at the time of the tragedy. And I thank God for protecting you, your family and friends.

I praise the Lord for protecting you, your friends and even taking care of your cat … It’s so true, only he knows what is best, it has helped me to understand that accepting a no is also something to do with joy with the faith that He knows better because that will not work as I want. Dear Sara, I’m glad you’re all right, but also the one who took care of your cat. I hope you can go back to your home. Your mission that our HH has placed on your life for Him among the Turkish women is fixed. Without a doubt. I hope to hear soon that you are back in Turkey. I think of you.
Dear Sara, it is so good to know that your friends in Turkey are safe after watching so much devastation that is causing so much loss, pain but our Husband has a plan for everything. As you wisely said, it is difficult to be content when our plans do not work out the way we are expecting, however your testimony is exactly that, a testimony of How His NO is for our good. We get a NO because He loves us so much. We get a NO because he wants us to be safe from all dangers. And we get a NO because He needs to see how much we trust on HIM.
