Radiant faces 😁

"Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame." P34:5

Dear brides, today I read WLL 30. It was about how our faces should look.

I grew up in a strict Reformed church, it was not appropriate to sit in church with a beaming face. There were people who were always dressed in black with serious faces (almost always older people). As church members you knew that these were the 'real' converted people. You had to have a lot of respect for these people, because these were the people of God. I always felt insecure and a little scared when I saw them, they were strict and always spoke with difficult words and they were so sad. I didn't really want to be converted because then I would have to do just like them. Later I discovered more and more that this is mainly religious behavior.

"But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate[a] the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." 2C16-18

I love that in this ministry I have learned that we can shine because we have Him as a heavenly Man, which gives such a great joy in my heart. When you spend the whole day with your loved one, your face will naturally shine. Talk to Him, ask Him what clothes you should wear, ask Him what food you should cook, ask Him what is the next task you need to do. Do everything with Him that will make your face shine. Others will notice your radiant face!

He wants to give us a complete makeover. I would encourage you to read the lesson “God's Makeover.”

Beste bruiden, vandaag las ik WLL 30. Het ging over hoe onze gezichten eruit moeten zien.

Ik ben opgegroeid in een streng gereformeerde kerk, het was niet gepast om met een stralend gezicht in de kerk te zitten. Er waren mensen die altijd in het zwart gekleed waren met serieuze gezichten bijna altijd ouderen mensen). Als kerkleden wist je dat dit de 'echte' bekeerde mensen waren. Je moest veel respect voor deze mensen hebben, omdat dit het volk van God was. Ik voelde me altijd onzeker en een beetje bang als ik ze zag, ze waren streng en spraken altijd met moeilijke woorden en ze waren zo verdrietig. Ik wilde eigenlijk niet bekeerd worden, want dan zou ik net als zij moeten doen.
Later kwam ik er steeds meer achter dat dit vooral religieus gedrag is.

Ik vind het geweldig dat ik in deze bediening heb geleerd dat we kunnen schitteren omdat we Hem als een hemelse Man hebben, dat geeft zo’n
grote vreugde in mijn hart. Wanneer u de hele dag met uw geliefde doorbrengt, zal uw gezicht natuurlijk stralen. Praat met Hem, vraag Hem welke kleding je moet dragen, vraag Hem welk voedsel je moet koken, vraag Hem wat de volgende taak is die je moet doen. Doe alles met Hem, waardoor jouw gezicht gaat stralen. Anderen zullen je stralende gezicht opmerken!

Hij wil ons een complete make-over geven. Ik zou je willen aanmoedigen om de les 'God's Makeover' te lezen .
